RED RONIN

Real Name: SJ3 RX
Identity/Class: Extradimensional (Earth-50810)
terrestrial robot

Affiliations: (ally via control): Dr. Doom;
(ally via construction): Nick Fury, Tony Stark (all
Earth-50810)

America, Dr. Octopus, Ghost Rider, Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine
(all Earth-50810)

Base of Operations: Iceland
First Appearance: Mega Morphs#2 (October, 2005)
Powers/Abilities: Red Ronin possesses
Superhuman Class 100 strength and can fly at subsonic speed with two
powerful back-mounted thrusters. It is equipped with many weapons,
including palm-mounted concussive blasters. The fist (at least the
right one) can detach and rocket to a target; while in flight, blasts
can be fired from finger tips. Red Ronin has a solar blade that extends
from a rod-like hilt and can cut through almost anything. It has a
force field generator that generates a protective bubble around itself.
Its power source is located in its lower torso and is protected by
electromagnetic shields; however, the power source has a short run
time. Red Ronin has been modified from its original Stark design to now
have a detachable head that functions autonomously from the body; the
head has its own concussive blast beam generator located mid-brow. The
head's quick detachment and redocking may be facilitated with powerful
magnets. It also has an external speaker system. Red Ronin usually has
a pilot protected by psi-shields. During an attempted theft, Red Ronin
was upgraded to be piloted remotely via neural telepathic link; this
may have since been negated or modified.
Height: 102'4"
Weight: 23 tons
Eyes: White light (when active)
Hair: Inapplicable
History:
(Mega Morphs#3 (fb) - BTS) - Stark Industries built
the incredibly huge combat craft dubbed Red Ronin. It was stored in a
bunker silo in Iceland under the protection of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic
Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate). While there,
S.H.I.E.L.D. added the extra function of a detachable autonomous head.
(Mega Morphs#2) - In his machinations to acquire Red
Ronin next threat, Dr. Doom recruited the villainous Dr. Octopus and
the
mind-controlled Hulk. The pair rocketed to Iceland in their giant Mega
Morph armored suits and quickly overwhelmed S.H.I.E.L.D. opposition.
(Mega
Morphs#3) - Dr. Octopus established a remote synthetic telepathic link
for Dr. Doom (who was still in Latveria). Doom was impressed with Red
Ronin and immediately tested the weaponry on his lackeys by
blasting the Hulk and striking at Dr. Octopus with the solar blade.
Protesting betrayal, Dr. Octopus' Mega Morph armor was no match for Red
Ronin and Doom smashed him against a wall.
Nick Fury had already alerted Tony Stark plus Captain
America, Ghost Rider, Spider-Man and Wolverine, who each had their own
Mega Morph armor. Red Ronin rocketed up to meet the four heroes in
their
Mega Morphs. Various combined attacks were attempted by the heroes
against the massive Red Ronin,
but failed. Doom adapted quickly to Red Ronin, separating the head as a
flying attack unit while the main body stood and blasted from the
ground. Doom triggered a rocketing fist to stop Ghost Rider's hellfire
attack. The four heroes were downed and Doom gloated via Red Ronin
until the Hulk, now free of
mind control and still in his Mega Morph, punched off Red Ronin's head
and tore out circuitry inside the torso. Red Ronin fell depowered to
the ground, its link with Doom severed.
