- While about 20 years had passed on Aarboria, only scant minutes had
passed
on Eternia, where He-Man and and Hordak were thrown into the collapsing
portal and likewise landed in Aarboria, but with amnesia and no idea
they were mortal enemies. The pair wandered into a town and helped the
population recover from a sudden but short planet-quake. But the pair
were soon confronted by Bar'in, who immediately recognized Hordak's
insignia as matching the Horde army. Bar'in hard a mother plead mercy
for Hordak as he had just saved her son's life, but Bar'in insisted the

Prince Bar'in appears to be a clear reference to Prince Barin from Flash Gordon stories. Barin is king of a region of planet Mongo called Arboria. So is Aarboria part of the main Eternian Universe, or had the Eternians been pulled into the dimension of Flash Gordon and Mongo?

CLARIFICATIONS
:
Prince Bar'in has no known connections to:
Tevin was a small boy in the Aarborian town ruled by
Prince Bar'in into which wandered the waylaid He-Man and Hordak, both
amnesiac from hyperspace travel. The population were mistrustful of the
outsiders. A sudden planet-quake generated panic and scattered the
people, and Tevin fell into a newly open crevice. With He-Man busy
propping up a damaged building, it was left to the usually villainous
Hordak to be uncharacteristically kind. Having forgotten his past,
Hordak climbed down and rescued Tevin, although the boy was initially
scared of Hordak's appearance. Tevin was reunited with his grateful
mother. Later, Tevin and his mother cheered on He-Man and Hordak as
they fought against savage beasts in the gladiatorial arena.
