History:

(Untamed#1 (fb) - BTS) - McMannis served in the Supreme Attack Corps created by Sgt. Griffin Palmer.

(Untamed#1 (fb) - BTS) - Madame Miyanoshita Zhi-Yuan led the Kosansui, a radical group splintered from the Yakuza, to assault the USA's West Coast. When their import-export avenues began to bite into Yakuza operation profits, as well as Japanese mainstream business profits, Japan's National Police Agency (N.P.A.) sent Tokudane "Dane" Kuchiyama to help interfere with Kosansui activities.

(Untamed#1 (fb) - BTS) - The NPA refused to release any information of Dane, and the Japanese government didn't have anything to release.

    McMannis was only able to obtain hearsay on Dane from his station contact.

(Untamed#1) - McMannis met with Dane, telling him a little of the history of Sgt. Palmer, with whom they would be partnered. She also discussed the apparent death of Palmer's wife, Julia, and the nature of the Kosansui threat.

    After McMannis informed Dane that Palmer would be his partner, she noted that, after three months leave following Julia's apparent death, "we" (she and other S.A.C. officials) felt that he was recovered from his trauma; nonetheless, she noted that she wanted to make sure he was aware of who would be guarding his backside. mcmannis-21936-office

    When Dane asked if Palmer had been briefed with his bio, McMannis informed him that they only had hearsay from his station contact.

    She asked Dane what he knew about Madame Zhi-Yuan, he explained how Zhi-Yuan was the name of the era when Kublai Khan ruled the Mongols, noting that he was sure the name was symbolic rather than a birth name. When McMannis prodded him for further information, Dane explained the Kublai Khan had lost two armadas to kamikaze storm when he tried to cross the sea and conquer Japan, and that he believed Madame Zhi-Yuan was similarly attempting to conquer America, using tactics and secrecy as opposed to Khan's failed efforts with brute force and fear.

    When McMannis replied that she didn't think the Japanese mixed ideology with business, Dane informed her that they did so all the time but that they did not let it interfere.

    McMannis then took Dane to get the weapons and forms he would need to do his duty in San Diego, after which she would "turn you and Palmer loose, to stir up all the squall front you can with the Kosansui.

(Untamed#3 - BTS) - McMannis called Dane, informing him that they had just received a call about a rumble in San Ysdro between the Angel Soldiers and the Kosansui. She further added that it had sounded like Palmer had been part of it, and she instructed Dane to go get a lead on what was going on.
