History:
(Black Panther III#24) - When Queen Divine Justice was recruited into the Dora Milaje and brought to Wakanda, Mama was assigned to teach her combat. During their sparring session, Mama was unarmed and had a baby strapped to her back while supporting a basket on head. Despite all of these handicaps, Mama easily bested Queen Divine Justice in combat. The entire time, Mama spoke only Hausa to Queen Divine Justice and kept berating her for speaking English.

(Black Panther III#60) - When the American Kevin "Kasper" Cole asked Prince T'Challa to place him through the "ascension" trials so he could obtain the heart-shaped herb, T'Challa sent Mama to his Harlem apartment to test him in combat. Mama swiftly assaulted Kevin, striking him down then hurling a knife at him, narrowly missing his head. Drawing a staff, she ignored Kevin's attempts to speak to her, addressing him only in Hausa. When he attempted to grab her staff, she electrified it, stunning him, then said in English "I do not like you" and threw Kevin out his window and into the street below.

Mama jumped down to continue their fight in the street, trading blows with him until three men who were passing by saw what was going on and accused Kevin of beating up an "old lady." Playing into the men's assumptions, Mama behaved as though Kevin were trying to rob her. Exasperated, Kevin had to fight off the three men. Okoye pulled up in a limousine and Mama climbed inside. Once he had defeated the three men, Kevin joined them in the limousine, which Okoye drove to the Wakandan Embassy. During the ride, Mama informed Kevin that she wasn't impressed by his fighting skills.

Comments: Created by Christopher Priest, Mark Bright and Walden Wong.

Mama always has a baby with her but we don't know her relationship to the baby, the gender of the baby or even whether it's the same baby in both appearances. given her age, it's possible the infant is one of her grandchildren.
