History:
(Marvel Age I#1000 (fb) - BTS) - Lt. Hy Heat encountered bank robber Max Moody, cornering him as the two exchanged gunfire. When Heat warned Moody that the robber wasn't going to get away with anything, Moody sarcastically suggested Heat watch him do just that.

(Marvel Age I#1000 (fb)) - During another such adventure, Lt. Heat fired off his gun and reminded his opponent that, while property was sacred, life was more sacred.

(Marvel Age I#1000 - BTS) - Hy Heat's adventures were glimpsed on Earth-616 circa 1939 in the form of funny papers comic strips that were adapted into The Hy Heat Half Hour radio show, starring Monty Sloan as Hy Heat and sponsored by Goodman's Good-Tooth Powder.

    Lt. Hy Heat's height and weight were impossible to approximate, as he was only seen on one panel and not side-by-side with any character whose stats have been officially determined. Yes, the image above shows him next to Human Torch but that panel is the Torch envisioning Hy Heat. They aren't actually in the same room as one another.

    Goodman's Good-Tooth Powder was likely a reference to original Timely Comics publisher Martin Goodman.

This radio show was played for the newly-created android Human Torch as he was taught about humanity and the Torch soon became a fan of the show, learning about morality and the protection of life and property from the show.
