History:

(Marvel Age Spider-Man Team-Up#4 (fb) - BTS) - "Aeons" ago, Kryllk was part of the troll invasion of Asgard (or may have led it). Asgard's ruler used the powerful Frostgaard Crystal to freeze time around the trolls and they were moved into realms underground. Odin secreted the Crystal away. Much time later, the vengeful Kryllk was able to gain control of the Crystal.

(Marvel Age Spider-Man Team-Up#4) - The criminal Looter's unwitting interference with a meteorite diverted the Crystal's teleportation to New York. By chance, Spider-Man and Thor were there to counter the attack, although all else on Earth (and Asgard) were frozen in time; the heroic pair evaded the Crystal's effect only by Thor's quick-thinking use of his mystical hammer. Kryllk emerged from the dimensional rift with his small army, and fierce battle raged between the heroes and the trolls. Kryllk smugly gloated as he teleported to take over Asgard. Thor and Spider-Man followed, and realized that Kryllk flitted between nanoseconds to avoid being hit by either of them. Thor stayed in Asgard fighting trolls while Spider-Man was sent back to New York by Thor's hammer. Cleaving through troll minions, the savage attacks by both Thor and Spider-Man stunned Kryllk, allowing the heroes to strike the troll warlord simultaneously. His link with the Frostgaard Crystal broken, time was restored. Odin banished the trolls once more and praised the heroic pair.

Comments: Created by Gerry Conway, Ross Andru, Jim Mooney. Earth-50302 developed by Todd DeZago, Ron Lim, Scott Koblish.

Unfortunately, there are no clear images of Kryllk, despite him being the star villain. It's still enjoyable art from Ron Lim, but not quite his usual high standard of composition.

This is a sort of retelling of Marvel Team-Up I#7, the only appearance of Earth-616's Kryllk in which he stole the Watcher's Dark Crystal, which had similar powers to that of the Frostgaard Crystal (Spidey-50302 does informally call the Frostgaard Crystal a "dark crystal thing"). I'm guessing that MTU issue (from 1973) had an impact on the young DeZago (the writer) for such an obscure character to resurface.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Kryllk has no known connections to:

Frostgaard Crystal

"Aeons" ago, the Frostgaard Crystal was used by Odin to freeze time to stop an invasion of Asgard by trolls bent on its destruction. The trolls were moved to an underground realm and Odin secreted the Crystal away. However, the troll warlord Kryllk gained hold of it and used it to attack, but due to the criminal Looter's unwitting interference with a meteorite on Earth, Kryllk landed in New York first. The Asgardian hero Thor saw the light-warping effect of the crystal and, alongside Spider-Man, he used his mystical hammer to keep a fraction of a second away from the time-freeze effect that caged Earth. Kryllk touched the large crystal and transported himself to Asgard (also frozen in time), shifting between nanoseconds as he avoided Thor and Spider-Man, although the heroic pair eventually knocked him out and the invasion was stopped. The Frostgaard Crystal was mystically transported back to Asgard by Odin.

The giant Frostgaard Crystal responded to the commands of the person who touched it. It could freeze time at a planetary level with the visual effect inverting all colors. It allowed Kryllk to instantly teleport to the Asgardian throne room. The Crystal allowed the wielder to shift between nanoseconds while across vast distances, effectively providing a kind of protection where the wielder could almost be considered to be in two places at once.
