History:

(Spider-Boy II#3 (fb) - BTS) - At an unrevealed point in time, the Rock Troll Ulik adopted an Asgardian arachnid as his pet. He named the creature Klöpp and grew very attached to it, even outfitting the spider with special armor.

(Spider-Boy II#3 - BTS) - Klöpp was happy living in Nornheim with Ulik until one day, when it accidentally fell into an interdimensional portal that dropped the beast on Earth.

(Spider-Boy II#3 (fb) - BTS) - Ulik was so worried when Klöpp went missing that he went looking for his pet and hung portraits of it across all ten realms.

(Spider-Boy II#3 - BTS) - Scared, alone and unable to find its master, Klöpp ran rampant at a Manhattan construction yard. This alerted Thor to its presence. Recognizing Klöpp's Asgardian origins, he misunderstood the creature's plight and attacked.

(Spider-Boy II#3) - The fight between Klöpp and Thor drew the attention of Spider-Boy, who initially felt the battle was out of his league, but then he realized he might be able to help using his ability to talk to spiders. Shifting to his monster form to access the ability, Spider-Boy had a quick heart-to-heart with Klöpp, who happily told him who it was and what had happened. Spider-Boy explained Klöpp's plight to Thor, leading the thunder god to use his hammer to open a portal to Ulik's realm. The king of the Rock Trolls was initially furious that Thor had the gall to summon him, but anger gave way to joy when he spotted his 'Klöppsie'. Master and pet had a happy reunion while Spider-Boy and Thor looked on.
