Powers/Abilities: Chris did not possess any
superhuman powers, nor did he demonstrate any notable abilities in his
limited appearances.
A typical 16-year-old, he
expressed his frustration sometimes with hostility, and he sought
friendship and romance. He was friends with and interested in Viv,
although he callously expressed insulting comments about her and her
brother's non-human nature when Vin seemed to be ignoring him.

History:
(Vision III#5 (fb) - BTS) <16 years before the
main story> - Chris Kinzky born on August 29.
(Vision III#5 (fb) - BTS) - Chris'
yearbook picture included his quote, "It's
all about the love!"
(Vision III#1 (fb) - BTS) - The
Vision (aka Victor Shade) created a synthezoid family for himself:
Virginia (wife), Vin (son), Viv (daughter). They tried to lead a
relatively normal life in a Fairfax, Virginia, a suburb of Washington,
D.C.
(Vision III#2 (fb) - BTS / Vision III#4 (fb) - BTS) - The
sixteen-year-old Chris Kinzky was chemistry lab partners with Viv.
(Vision III#1 - BTS) - While
the Vision was away, the Grim Reaper attacked the Vision family,
severely wounding Viv. Virginia overpowered and slew the Reaper and
then buried him him in their back yard. She asked her children to not
tell their father about these events.
(Vision III#4 (fb) - BTS) -
Having been on his way to the Visions' house to introduce himself as
his son was partnered with Viv, LeonKinzky walked around back after no
one answered the door. He witnessed and filmed Virginia's actions. 
(Vision III#2) - As the
traumatized Vin Vision sat in the cafeteria, Chris asked him where was
Viv. When Vin replied only -- while staring at his food and not looking
at Chris -- that she was out and was ill, Chris told him he knew that,
and he reiterated that they were in chemistry together and noted that
he had to talk to her "about this thing we're doing." He asked Vin if
he knew how he could talk to her, but Vin, continuing to stare at an
apple he had crushed in his hand, repeated only, "She
is out. She is ill."
Frustrated, Chris asked what was wrong with Vin, as he
was just asking for her number. "She
has a phone, doesn't she? Don't you people have phones? Or should I
just send my messages directly into your metal &#@holes?" As
Vin continued to look down, Chris asked what was his problem and if he
could hear him. Standing up, grabbing Chris by the neck and suspending
him in the air, Vin replied that he should not "send you messages directly into our metal
&#@holes."
Apparently considering that he could easily kill Chris, Vin held him in
the air for at least several seconds as the rest of the students
watched; finally, as he reiterated, "My
sister is out. She is ill," Vin dropped Chris and walked out of
the room.
(Vision III#4 (fb) - BTS) -
Learning of this, Leon resolved to use the video he had made to
blackmail the Visions into moving away.
(Vision III#2 - BTS)
- Vision and Virginia were called in by principal Sam Waxman, who
considered his children to be dangerous weapons. Considering the
conversation to be unproductive, Vision recommended that Vin receive
the standard suspension of a child involved in a conflagration of this
sort and that further discipline would be handled by he and Virginia.
As the superintendent was a strong fan of Captain America and had
arranged for Vin and Viv to attend the school, Vision advised Waxman
that fighting him in this matter would not prove to be beneficial..
Having received the diagnostic report on Viv, Vision
concluded that he believed full repairs were possible.
(Vision
III#2 - BTS / Vision
III#4 (fb) - BTS) - Leon Kinzky sent Virginia a phone with a copy of the
video
he had made of her burying the Grim Reaper. He then called the phone,
but she initially dropped it and did not answer.
(Vision III#4 - BTS) - Chris'
dad told Principal Waxman that he did not want his son to be partners with
Viv anymore.
(Vision III#4 - BTS) -
Following Viv's complete recovery and the conclusion of Vin's
suspension, they both returned to high school.
(Vision III#4) - Chris
approached Viv and asked if he could walk to class with her and talk,
and she approved. Chris talked about the conflict with Vin and his
father's response, and he told Viv that he liked having her as a
partner and that what happened with her brother wasn't that big a deal.
He further told her that he had liked to work with her and that he
thought she was cool. As they walked through the rain, Chris noted that
he should have brought an umbrella and asked if it bothered her, like a
machine and water, but Viv assured him that it did not bother her. "It just goes through me."
(Vision III#4 - BTS) - Viv
frequently later called up that conversation into her active memory and
put it on repeat play.
(Vision III#4 (fb) - BTS) - Leon
Kinzky arranged for Virginia to meet with him at his house.
(Vision III#4) - Chris was
in his room trying to go to sleep with his door partially opened when
Virginia arrived and met with his father. Explaining how he had
obtained the video and how he wanted to protect his son, Leon told
Virginia that if her family moved away, he would not reveal what she
had buried. Chris walked out of his room to see what was going on as
Virginia levitated into the air and told Leon that they belonged there.
Chris was walking down the stairs as his father pulled the gun on
Virginia, and he called out to his father, but his father was focused
on Virginia floating toward him. He fired at her repeatedly, but she
turned intangible, and the bullets passed through her...
...and struck Chris in the chest, fatally wounding
him. When Leon accused her of killing his son and told her that he was
going to get everyone and that they were going to kill her whole
family, she made her fist as hard as diamond and punched him, leaving
him severely concussed and unconscious. 
(Vision III#5 (fb) - BTS) -
Presumably summoned by the gunfire, police found Chris' dead body and
his comatose father, who was hospitalized. Newspapers, etc.
subsequently reported the unexplained death and injury.
(Vision III#5 - BTS) - A
medical examiner reported the cause of Chris' death to be gunshot
wounds to the head and chest. Presumably having confirmed they were
fired by his father, the death was listed as a homicide.
Looking up Chris' picture in the school yearbook, Viv
tore out the page and took it with her.
Vision willingly accompanied Detective Matt Lin to
the police office to answer questions about his family's whereabouts
the night before (the night of Chris' death).
Vision
confirmed that his entire family was home with him that night.
(Vision III#8 - BTS) - Chris was
buried
(Vision III#8 - BTS) - Viv
visited Chris' grave, apparently sinking down below the ground and
looking at his corpse, despite advice to the contrary from her uncle
Victor Mancha. Viv was comforted that Victor had accompanied her there.
(Vision III#11 - BTS) -
Virginia told Viv the circumstances of Chris' death, and Viv smashed
their kitchen table in frustration, noting how he had said that she was
cool.
(Vision III#12 - BTS) -
Virginia confessed her activities to Det. Matt Lin, claiming to have
altered Vision's memories so he would think that his whole family was
home the night of C.K.'s death and to have caused him to attack the
Avengers in a subsequent conflict.

The medical
examiner listed Chris' year of birth as 1999, but that is topical, as
his life was part of Marvel's sliding timescale, and he was born 16
years before the main story, which slides forward every year.
In the story, the wife and
kids were just Virginia, Vin and Viv, and not Mrs. Vision nor Vin or
Viv Vision. Certainly Viv has been subsequently called Viv Vision, and
it's certainly the easiest way to clarify things by using their last
names...so that's what I did.
Chris only appeared in the two
issues, but there was a lot of information and references in the rest
of the series. Thanks to Loki for helping to point out the actual
appearances.
