History: (The Pulse#2 (fb)) - Terri Kidder was a reporter at one of New York City's old-fashioned, respectable newspapers but felt that her job was shallow and uninspired. She quit and was hired by Robbie Robertson to work at the Daily Bugle, to the astonishment of everyone who knew her.

(The Pulse#2) - Two weeks after starting at the Bugle, Terri had yet to produce a single story worth publishing. She felt excited by the energy of place but found herself lost in office politics and feared that she was about to get fired. Terri was surprised by Jameson's hands-on approach as the publisher and felt that he wasn't giving Robertson the recognition that he deserved. She was working on an Avengers entry for the "100 Most Powerful People in the City" piece, when Kat Farrell advised her against it because of Jonah's temper.

(The Pulse#2 (fb) - BTS) - Despite Kat's advice, Terri submitted her Avengers piece regardless.

(The Pulse#2) - At a 4 PM staff meeting, Jameson displayed Terri's piece and demanded to know who had submitted it. She raised her hand, and Jonah exploded at her, saying that he wanted to cover human, non-costumed people and expelled her from the meeting. Terri returned to the newsroom and answered a phone call informing about Spider-Man fighting the Vulture. Terri rushed to the Port Authority where the fight was still ongoing only to find it broadcast live by Fox News channel four, making her presence redundant.

Later that day, Terri met her friend from school Sheryl Doser, an accountant at Oscorp, for drinks. She repeated her belief that she would soon be fired and jokingly asked Sheryl for a story, which visibly freaked her out. Lowering her voice, Sheryl told Terri that three people from different Oscorp departments had recently disappeared without a trace. After her friend left, Terri called Norman Osborn's office at Oscorp and pretended to be doing an entry on him for the "100 Most Powerful People in the City" piece. She was offered a meeting on the following day, but lied about flying out of the city and managed to secure a ten-minute slot later that evening.

Terri got to Oscorp Tower, where Osborn's secretary showed her to his office. Norman welcomed her, being slightly surprised that J. Jonah Jameson would be putting him on a prominent list. Terri asked him about the number of Oscorp employees and dropped the line about some of them being missing, at which point Norman smiled. He accused Kidder of manipulating his ego to get in the door, while his eyes turned green. Terri tried to ask her next question when Osborn threw her across the room. She tried to plead, but Osborn grabbed her by the throat and choked her with a single hand until she died.

(The Pulse#2 - BTS) - Dressed as Green Goblin, Norman Osborn used his Goblin Glider to fly Terri's body over to the Central Park, where he dropped her into the Reservoir.

(The Pulse#1 - BTS) - In the morning, Terri's body was spotted in the water by a hot dog stall vendor. He reported it to NYPD officer Burman later in the day. Burman called for backup, and by nighttime Terri's body was finally retrieved from the Reservoir.

(The Pulse#3 (fb) - BTS) - Terri's mother and the rest of her family were informed about her death and prepared to fly to New York.

(The Pulse#3 - BTS) - The next morning, at the Daily Bugle staff meeting Jameson asked Robertson to announce Terri's death to her colleagues. Robbie requested everyone to fully cooperate with the NYPD investigation and to also do their own digging, assigning the story to Ben Urich and Kat Farell.

NYPD homicide detective Regina Gans was assigned Kidder's case and got to work on Terri's cubicle at the Daily Bugle building.

An examination of Terri Kidder's body by the Medical Examiner's Office revealed that she was strangled to death by a man with large hands, after which her body was dropped from high up. One of the workers leaked that information to Farell.

Farell, Urich, and Daily Bugle's new consultant Jessica Jones met at the Central Park Reservoir and contemplated who might have killed Terri based on those findings. Late at night, Urich listened to a voice message from Sheryl Doser on Terri's work phone, in which, Sheryl relayed her last conversation with Terri. The mention of Oscorp caused Ben to realize that Kidder's killer was Norman Osborn, whom he long suspected of being the Green Goblin.

(The Pulse#4 (fb) - BTS) - Urich met with Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and informed him about missing people at Oscorp and Terri Kidder's sudden death after she tried to investigate it. Urich then went to see Sheryl Doser to inform her about Terri's death and verify what she had said in the voice message. Ben then laid out his findings to Jameson, concluding that Kidder was killed by Norman Osborn who was Green Goblin and convincing Jameson to agree to run with the story.

(The Pulse#5 (fb) - BTS) - As the result of Urich's investigation, Norman Osborn's secret identity was finally exposed to the public and confirmed by the city officials. Jonah pushed the Daily Bugle to work on the follow-up and to cover the stories of Osborn's victims, which included one of their own.

(War Machine II#9 - BTS) - During a confrontation War Machine (James Rhodes) had with Osborn in his Iron Patriot identity, War Machine armor displayed the image of Terri Kidder as one of Osborn's 67 confirmed murder victims.

(Gold Goblin#1 - BTS) - Reformed after his sins had been taken away from him, Osborn etched Terri Kidder's name onto a wall in his workshop along with those of other people he had hurt.

(Gold Goblin#2 - BTS) - Bonded with Osborn's sins, Queen Goblin (Ashley Kafka) attacked Norman and mentally tortured him by conjuring the images of his victims, including Terri Kidder.

Terri is visually based on Lois Lane and is named after two of the actresses who have played her: Teri Hatcher ("Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman") and Margot Kidder ("Superman" film series).

There is a minor dating inconsistency regarding the passage of days in the storyline: The Pulse#2 establishes that Osborn killed Kidder around 8 PM (Day One), and The Pulse#1 shows that her body was in the Reservoir for most of the next day and was not recovered until the dark (Day Two). The Pulse#3 depicts the next day's Daily Bugle investigation (Day Three), and Ben Urich listens to Doser's message after 9:37 PM (as given by the captions) and around 12:42 AM on the next day (as shown by the wall clock on the panel). The Pulse#4 then shows Urich meeting with Spider-Man at daytime (Day Four) before going to see Sheryl Doser. Yet when relaying his findings to Jonah, Ben mentions Sheryl meeting Terri for drinks "yesterday afternoon" as opposed to three days ago. It is possible that this mistake was made in-character on Ben Urich's part because of the stress involved.
