History:
(Barbie#59/2 (fb) - BTS) - Young boy Zack Kelly had
developed a sexist attitude from his father and wouldn't let girls play
comic book super-heroes with him. Nearby neighbor, the young girl
Caitlin wanted to play with Zack as she knew as much about super-heroes
as they did, but Zack refused.
(Barbie#59/2) - Zack ran about in a simple Spider-Man
costume, also climbing trees, pretending to chase "bad guys", but
accidentally bumped into Barbie who was walking by. Zack helped her
back up apologetically. Soon after, Barbie saw Caitlin upset that she
couldn't play, so Barbie brought a comic from her sister's collection
and showed Zack that women appeared in comics too, but he dismissed it
off that it was grown-up women, not girls, who had super powers in
comics. Zack also said that girls weren't as fast or strong as boys.
Barbie chanced upon Zack's father and found he held traditional sexist
views. The next day, Zack and his father went to the school fair;
trying to be helpful, Barbie accompanied Caitlin. After a slide, Zack
was keen to win to a prize at skill stalls to delay going home. Zack's
father tried a basketball goal stall but failed. Caitlin suggested
Barbie should try but Zack derided girls' sports prowess; however,
Barbie scored a prize. The same happened at another skill stall. Zack
pushed for another game, but only children were allowed to play. Zack
wanted to hook a Spider-Man-themed cup but had trouble; Caitlin tried
and won it. She gave it to Zack. Caitlin said she didn't want to be
better, she just wanted to be given the chance. Zack was happy and the
pair went home to play super heroes together.
(Barbie#59/2 (fb) - BTS) - Zack let Caitlin wear his
Spider-Man costume.
(Barbie#59/2) - The next day, Barbie saw a child in a
tree with a Spider-Man costume on and thought it was Zack again. She
was pleasantly surprised it was Caitlin.

The comic that Barbie shows to Zack appears to be X-Men (although you can only see the stylized "X-" and top left corner box).

CLARIFICATIONS
:
Zack Kelly has no known connections to:
Caitlin lived very near Zack Kelly but he denied her the chance to play super-heroes with him as he considered girls weren't able to. Barbie chanced upon the situation and decided to help. Barbie accompanied Caitlin to the school fair the next day. Together, the female pair showed Zack and his father that girls could win at games of skill. Caitlin gave a Spider-Man-themed cup she had won to Zack that she knew he wanted and said she only wanted a chance to be included, not to show that she was better. And with that, Zack included her in super-hero games, even letting her wear his Spider-Man costume.
Caitlin also enjoyed skateboarding as a fun
activity and knew a lot about comic book characters.
