History:

(Marvel Super Hero Squad II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Adventurer Ka-Zar, along with his partner Shanna and fierce pet sabretooth tiger Zabu, kept the natural ecosystem safe and in the Savage Land, a lush warm jungle area where dinosaurs still roamed, hidden in Antarctica. The trio were known to various heroes on Earth-11911, notably the Super Hero Squad (Falcon, Hulk, Iron Man, Redwing, Silver Surfer, Thor, Wolverine) and Speedball.

(Marvel Super Hero Squad II#6) - In Super Hero City, scientist Professor Stegron touched a powerful Infinity Fractal and became transformed into the maniacal Stegron whose sole purpose was to build a reptile army to wage war against humans. This was observed by his students, including the heroic shapeshifter Reptil and bouncer Speedball. Stegron hypnotized Reptil to fly him to the Savage Land so that he could gather a dinosaur army.

(Marvel Super Hero Squad II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Speedball alerted the Super Hero Squad (Falcon, Hulk, Iron Man, Redwing, Silver Surfer, Thor, Wolverine), and met Ka-Zar, Shanna and their sabretooth tiger Zabu. Ka-Zar scouted the land and found Stegron's location and trouble he was causing.

(Marvel Super Hero Squad II#6) - Ka-Zar's trio and Speedball met with the Super Hero Squad. The heroes confronted Stegron and his army in a giant fight near the border of the Savage Land with the Antarctic frozen land. Reptil was knocked into the ice; the sudden cold released Stegron's hypnotic control. With that in mind, the heroes let Stegron march his dinosaur army into the cold; the reptiles couldn't stand the cold and the mutinied, fleeing back to the warmth of the Savage Land. The stampede knocked the Infinity Fractal out of Stegron's hand and he returned to his human form. Ka-Zar appeared satisfied that all was well again.

Marvel Super Hero Squad started as a Hasbro mini-figurine line (I use them as X-Mas tree ornaments myself) in 2007. Their success produced spin-off comics (Earth-11911) and an animated series (Earth-91119) in 2009 plus a massively multiplayer online game from 2011 to 2017. Their design is described as "chibi" forms, not far removed from Chris Giarrusso's excellent Mini Marvels world. Not body shaming; people in Marvel Super Hero Squad worlds have oversized four-fingered hands, feet and head. The main "Squaddies" were also used for many children's education books for early readers.

I've taken his height and weight from his Earth-616 counterpart, but this Earth-11911 version appears smaller (and hence lighter). However, there's no proof.

Shanna

Shanna was Ka-Zar's partner in the Savage Land, a lush warm jungle area where dinosaurs still roamed, hidden in Antarctica. She stayed by Ka-Zar's side and joined in the fight against the maniacal Stegron and the rise of his dinosaur army with the protective sabretooth tiger Zabu by her side until Stegron was defeated.

   Shanna has peak athletic abilities, excellent balance and fighting skills, notably with a spear. Shanna had no dialog in the story.

Zabu

Zabu was the protective and obedient sabretooth tiger of Ka-Zar and his partner Shanna. Zabu immediately joined Ka-Zar's in his defense of the Savage Land against the maniacal Stegron and his quest to form a dinosaur army. Zabu stayed with Shanna in the big fight against the dinosaurs swayed by Stegron's propaganda, and stayed by the heroes' side once Stegron was defeated.
