History: (New Warriors Annual#3/2) - Brittany Hope attended the same classes at Springdale Central High as Robbie Baldwin. She was also a fan of the superhero Speedball, although she was unaware that he and Robbie were the same.

   After an algebra class, Brittany was walking down the corridor when Robbie accidentally bumped into the much larger Chuck Farley and made him spill coke over his shirt. Trying to provoke Baldwin into a fight, Farley aggressively bullied him in front of the crowd that gathered around them and included Brittany. Robbie however refused to be baited into a fight and walked away after apologizing for ruining Chuck's shirt and offering to pay for it.

   Brittany followed Robbie and told him that she found his act classy and brave, as most people would've let themselves get dragged into a brawl. Robbie thanked her and asked if she wanted to grab a burrito after school, to which Brittany agreed.

    Speedball showed up to the rescue, to Brittany's delight, and punched Doom so hard that it sent him flying.

    Brittany embraced her rescuer, wondering how she could thank him.
