Powers/Abilities: Hercules was superhumanly strong
and durable, able to lift at least 75 tons. He could also fly at
unspecified speeds.
History:

of the Marvel Universe A to Z hardcover#8: Order) - In
the Stamford disaster’s aftermath, Iron Man (Tony Stark), Mr. Fantastic
(Reed Richards), and Yellowjacket (later revealed as a Skrull
impersonating Henry Pym) devised a plan to place a federally sanctioned
super-team in every state. Realizing there might not be enough existing
superhumans willing to comply with their program, they began developing
technology to create their own superhumans. Recruiting from a corps of
human volunteers, the Skrull Pym subjected candidates to the viral
genomech SOMA Process, which prepared their human bodies with nanites
so they could withstand the rigors of superhuman activity.
The most successful candidates
were then tapped to join the Champions, the federally sanctioned
super-team of California, and each team received a viral genomech
payload, which artificially replicated a biological condition that
bestowed upon them superhuman powers for one year. Each member also
signed contracts agreeing to behave within specified moral parameters
while in public. With a hierarchical structure initially based on the
pantheon of Olympian gods, the team initially trained at a top secret
S.H.I.E.L.D. base in the deserts of Arizona.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z hardcover#8: Order) - An unidentified man representing Hercules, was able to fly and lift at least 75 tons.
(Civil War I#6) - As the Skrull
posing as Hank Pym discussed the Initiative program with Maria Hill at
the Arizona base, Hercules demonstrated his strength by picking up a
tank over his head.
(Civil War I#7) - During the final confrontation of the super hero Civil War, after Namor had led a number of Atlantean warriors to join the anti-registration forces, Hercules and his Champions teammates and other Initiative warriors followed the Thor robot Ragnarok to support the pro-registration forces. Hercules joined the fight against the Atlanteans.
Ultimately, however, while the
anti-registration forces were winning the battle, when Captain America
realized that the civilians supported the registration forces, he
commanded his allies to stand down, ending the conflict.

By the time the Order series started, Hercules was nowhere to be seen, and it was revealed in the Order's profile in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe that he had been decommissioned.
Based on the
discussion of the process, it would seem likely that his superhuman
powers would have faded a year after he had gained them.
This profile was completed 11/30/2025, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event.
