History:
(History) - Guy was the younger son of Simon IV de Montfort and Amicia
de Beaumont.
In 1189 he joined the Third Crusade.
(Black Knight Comics#3/3) - Duke de Montfort ordered one of his archers to assassinate King Richard so he could take the lead, credit and spoils of the crusades, but the archer was stopped by the Crusader (El Alemain). Guy angrily retreated to his tent where his loyal knight Jacquet suggested to get rid of the Crusader by handing him over to Saracen slave traders. Guy liked the plan and sent Jacquet to make a bargain with the slave galley's captain. Moments later Crusader confronted Guy with his archer's attempt to assassinate King Richard, but Guy denied any knowledge of it a vowed to punish the men for this treacherous act. Crusader called him a liar, but after Guy made sure that Crusader had not told Richard about the incident yet he had his men overpower Crusader and steal his Saracen Sword for Guy, who then ordered his men to deliver Crusader to the galley.
Crusader soon escaped the slavers and returned to camp where he took down Guy's men before confronting Guy once again. Even though he was still chained he easily retrieved his Saracen Sword from Guy and defeated him in sword combat. He showed mercy and didn't take his revenge on Guy and vowed not to tell King Richard about the treachery, but if Guy tried it again he would not be as merciful.
(Black Knight Comics#4/3) - Duke de Montfort sent his man Fortuno to Saladin in Kaladah to warn him that Crusader would come to his camp in disguise to free Sir Quincy, who had been caught by the Saracens with a map showing King Richards' line of march and secret supply bases. He ordered Fortuno not to mention the map because he only wanted Crusader out of the way so he could take out King Richard and make himself leader of the crusades.
The plan failed and Crusader returned with Sir Quincy to King Richard while Fortuno became Saladin's prisoner. Crusader returned Fortuno's sword to Guy and once again warned him that his ambitions could lead to his death.
(Black Knight Comics#5/3) - Sir Guy de Montfort promised Baron Hinden to make him his second in command as soon as King Richard was out of the way. Baron Hinden's men kidnapped King Richard. Guy and Hinden claimed Saracens were behind the kidnapping and sent Crusader to El Kahib to free King Richard. Guy quickly took command of the crusaders and hoped the Saracens would kill Crusader (El Alemain), but instead Saladin denied any involvement in the kidnapping and even gave Crusader the bloodhound Ahab to help him find King Richard. Crusader found King Richard in a nearby cave and the day was saved once again even though King Richard still believed Guy to be his ally and Crusader lacked the absolute proof the opposite.
(History) - He probably remained in the Holy Land until 1192, when King Richard returned home.
By 1202 he had inherited the lordships of FertÉ-Alais, Castres-en-Albigeois and BrÉtencourt from his father.
The same year he joined his brother Simon on the Fourth Crusade, which fell under Venetian control. They opposed the Venetian's siege of Zara because Pope Innocent III had specifically forbidden Crusaders to attack other Christians. They later left the Fourth Crusade because they didn't support to restore the Byzantine Emperor Isaac II Angelus.
They deserted to Hungary and later continued to Palestine where they joined King Amalric II of Jerusalem's expedition into Galileo. Amalric rewarded Guy by arranging his marriage to Helvis of Ibelin, the widow of the Lord of Sidon. Guy served as Lord of Sidon on behalf of his minor stepson Balian until 1210. Later that year Guy later assisted at the coronation of John of Brienne as king of Jerusalem.
In 1212 Guy joined his brother Simon once again during the Albigensian Crusade. He was supporting his his brother Simon when the latter died during the siege of Toulouse.
In 1224 Guy assisted Louis VIII of France at the siege of Avignon. In 1228 Guy died in a battle at Varilhes near Pamiers.

This character was loosely based on Guy de Montfort (?? to 1228). He was the youngest and less famous brother of Simon V de Montfort.
Guy was the self-proclaimed Duke de Montfort at best because it wasn't a duchy and his elder brother Simon was the actual lord of Montfort before Simon's son Amaury VI got the title.
