Powers/Abilities: Furcas was a kind-hearted sorcerer who resided in limbo realm Otherplace, and he had two horns on his head but otherwise looked human. As a sorcerer he could perform spells and was seen creating a living and breathing kind-hearted goblin from Illyana Rasputin's DNA. Furcas wore knight-like amor with draping and magical markings.

History:
(New Mutants IV#25 - BTS) - The sorcerer only known as Furcas made his
way to limbo (Otherplace) through unrevealed means.
(New Mutants IV#28 (fb)) - While in Castle Belasco, Furcas was attacked and thrown down the stairs by Belasco's thuggish servant S'ym. The scene was observed by the master's young protégé Illyana Rasputin who took pity on the demon. In an effort to help, she used her newly acquired magical abilities to make it seem as if Belasco called out for S'ym, after which S'ym left Furcas alone. Surprised by Illyana's act of kindness, Furcas vowed he would never forget her help and vowed to help her when she was in need.
(New Mutants IV#28 (fb) / Cable IV#9 - BTS) - While roaming the wastelands of limbo/Otherplace, Furcas came across a grown version of Illyana (our modern day Magik) who, accompanied by kid Cable, made a visit to question N'astirh about the disappearance of several mutant babies. Staying close, Furcas overheard Illyana's talk about a storybook of a little goblin and her friends that had helped her inspire to fight back against Belasco. Although she had not been't able to find the book since, she knew it existed. Hearing that story helped Furcas realize how he could repay his debt to the young Illyana.
(New Mutants IV#25) - Furcas made his way to Illyana's room in the castle and found Illyana's hairbrush with several strains of her blonde hair. Just then the modern day version of Illyana showed up who'd arrived to the castle to transfer the power of Otherplace to Madelyne Pryor. Irked a demon would go through her stuff, Illyana confronted the man, noting she could have him tortured. Hiding the hairbrush behind his back, Furcas replied he was merely helping her after which he quickly fled.
(New Mutants IV#28 (fb)) - Arriving at a gate deep within Castle Belasco marked with magical symbols, Furcas performed a powerful spell, creating a living and breathing kind-hearted goblin from Illyana's DNA. Furcas handed the little goblin an empty storybook mentioning that he'd given her the knowledge and history and that the time had come for the young Illyana to find her freedom.
(New Mutants IV#28 - BTS) - The little goblin followed modern day Illyana and her friends Danielle Moonstar, Wolfsbane and Madelyne Pryor during their adventure in Otherplace detailing their efforts in the storybook. The little goblin then hid the book for young Illyana to find in Belasco's library. The storybook that would inspire Illyana to fight back against Belasco.

Although Limbo (Otherplace) is home to a wide variety of demons, it seemed like Furcas is a human sorcerer that has been twisted by the magic of Limbo.
The latest New Mutants storyline is a perfect example of how time flows different in limbo/Otherplace, confusing but accurate and very entertaining at the same time. While for Furcas no time passes, he meets Illyana at different points in her life just as our modern day Illyana comes across different versions of herself in limbo.
In demonology, Furcas (also spelled Forcas) is a Knight of Hell (the rank of Knight is unique to him), and rules 20 legions of demons. He teaches Philosophy, Astronomy (Astrology to some authors), Rhetoric, Logic, Chiromancy and Pyromancy.
So,
technically, limbo is a description of the type
of realm, and it should be lower case (to distinguish it from the true
Limbo, which is the realm of Immortus) and more of an adjective...but
everyone uses it with a capital as if it is the realm name.
