Powers/Abilities: Elephant Steve has tremendous strength. Similar to real-life elephants, he can walk quietly and stealthily with his shock-absorbing foot pads. Because he uses an apparent everyday laptop computer (unsuitable for large elephant pads), it can be assumed he uses his flexible (prehensile) trunk as a digit for typing plus costume changes and other necessities (although his top elephant pads have also been shown as hands). However, he seems to lack a flexible sense of humor and can take personal affront at metaphorical comments about elephants. At one point, Tony Stark made a protective armored suit for Elephant Steve, but he was never shown wearing it.

History:

(Iron Man and Power Pack#4/2-FB (fb)) - Elephant Steve was one of the Avengers who fought the evil robot Ultron. Defeated, Ultron rocketed away but gave the exact date and time when he would return.

(Iron Man and Power Pack#1/2) - Iron Man gathered the Avengers (Captain America, Elephant Steve, Giant-Girl, Hawkeye, green Hulk, Spider-Man, Storm, Thor, Wolverine) together in the Tech Room to introduce them to the individually tailored armored suits he had made for each of them (although Steve's lacked color). Iron Man used the metaphor "to talk about the elephant in the room" by egotistically hyping up his superior gadgets, but Elephant Steve took umbrage at the comment and stormed off. Avengers valet Jarvis consoled him with milk and pie in the kitchen.

(Iron Man and Power Pack#4/2) - Later, after trialling and marketing the suits to other mini marvels, Ultron returned, overriding those Avengers still in their suits so that they were immobile and choking Hawkeye. But at that same point, Elephant Steve was in the kitchen and recalled Ultron's dire warning from their previous battle. Realizing the time had arrived, Elephant Steve quietly went out and smacked down Ultron with a single blow. Iron Man made a joke about how elephants never forget, which Elephant Steve took literally, explaining he would've alerted them earlier if that was the case.

(Wolverine and Power Pack#2/2) - Elephant Steve was on his laptop computer when Hawkeye arrived, asking to use it so he could write a movie script that was a clear reference to himself. Suspicions, Elephant Steve asked how the movie concluded and Hawkeye foolishly admitted that the lead character would sell a laptop for magic beans. Elephant Steve did not pass on his laptop.

Could he have been part of this Earth's Knights of Wundagore or from a Counter Earth?

Because he's basically like an anthrotoon, there's no real way of telling if he's an Asian elephant (smaller ears) or African elephant (big ears).

The story in Wolverine and Power Pack#2 pieces together four individual "Mini Marvels" stories that ran through various comics into one story.

He also appears on the front cover of "Mini Marvels: The Complete Collection", but it lacks sufficient detail to use as the main image.
