History: (Ultimate Avengers#16 (fb) - BTS) - Edgar, a hundred-year-old vampire, fell in love with a sixteen-year-old girl Stella despite their vast difference in life experiences.

(Ultimate Avengers#16) - Stella and Edgar stood out in the open, and Edgar professed how he loved hearing about Stella's problems in school and at home. Stella asked Edgar to stare at her intensely, but then Blade showed up with a stake. Edgar ran away, and Blade chased after him and jumped high into air to nail Edgar on a stake.

(Ultimate Avengers#16 - BTS) - These events were experienced in a recurring dream by Blade of Earth-1610. To his frustration, he always woke up before seeing the vampire die at his hands.

   Edgar and Stella are an obvious parody of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan from the Twilight film series, a common subject of jokes in the early 2010s.
