History:
(X-Men I#57/2) -
Marvel Girl telekinetically scaled a stone wall of what appeared to be a castle then she snuck up behind the "Dungeon Master" and conquered him through sheer brain power, willing him to be defeated without ever using physical force.

Comments: Created by Linda Fite, Werner Roth and Sam Grainger.

This character appeared in a back-up strip in which Marvel Girl displayed her powers and skills to the reader but never in any actual story (in the sense that the events in which Marvel Girl battles the "Dungeon Master" were not from an existing story we'd seen at that point. --Proto-Man).  Not even lore masters like Kurt Busiek or Fabian Nicieza  have ever deigned to provide any context or background to this misbegotten character.
As such, we can only assume he's a normal human and not another mutant or some other sort of mutate. --Proto-Man

"Dungeon Master" seems to occupy a medieval or faux-medieval castle, indicating a possible Base of Operations in central or eastern Europe. There's no indication it's a fictional European nation like Latveria, though it might easily be an American theme park!

The best we can determine of his eye color is that they are a light brown or tan/flesh-color, but that honestly could just be a coloring error that neglected to color his eyes any specific color, instead coloring them the same color as his flesh, only a bit darker due to the inking. --Proto-Man

"Dungeon Master" is a placeholder name for the purposes of this profile. The character was never actually identified in any way on-panel. --Proto-Man

"Dungeon Master"'s height and weight are impossible to approximate, as he is only seen on two panels, and while he is seen next to Marvel Girl (who is 5'6"), he is never seen standing next to her in such a way that his height could be approximated. As you can see from the two images in this profile (which are the only images of the character at all), he is only ever seen falling to the ground and standing while Marvel Girl is crouched behind a wall. --Proto-Man

This profile was completed on 3/9/2026 but its publication was delayed, as it was intended for the Appendix's 25th anniversary event to represent Jean Grey's 20th Century stories and characters.
