History:
(Prelude to Deadpool Corps#3 (fb) - BTS) - A scientist in the employ of Babelline Cosmetics, Dr. von Braun worked on the Mascara-X Project to create a regenerative form of makeup for the third place cosmetics company, who felt the Mascara-X Project would put them back on top.

(Prelude to Deadpool Corps#3) - After Dr. von Braun's assistant Eigor found a dog named Wilson, known for barking all night and chewing shoes, as a test subject for the Mascara-X Project, Dr. von Braun commended Eigor and ordered him to lower the terrified Wilson into the vat of Mascara-X. Dr. von Braun then had Wilson subjected to electric shocks before ordering him to be brought out of the vat and placed on a table for observation. When Wilson appeared horribly mangled, Dr. von Braun lamented the failure and expressed concern to Eigor that they would now lose their funding and be fired. Eigor assured von Braun that they could always get a job with Old Spice before asking what he should do with Wilson. Von Braun ordered Eigor to toss Wilson into the dumpster with their other failed specimens.

    Some time later, Eigor learned of a circus act featuring a seemingly indestructible dog and he informed Dr. von Braun about it, soon bringing von Braun to the circus to see the act. Not quite enjoying himself, Dr. von Braun admitted to Eigor that while they hadn't spent a lot of time together recently and he did enjoy a night out, the circus was not really his thing before Eigor interrupted to note that the dog act he had previously mentioned was about to start. Soon amazed at the death-defying dog Deadpool, Dr. von Braun was asked by Eigor if he recognized the dog as Wilson but von Braun reminded Eigor that Wilson was dead. Eigor then suggested that perhaps their Mascara-X had given Wilson vast regenerative abilities that allowed him to survive death and von Braun immediately began imagining how pet lovers would pay top dollar for regenerating pets. Eigor suggested instead they sell the regenerative process to the military for super-soldiers, to which Dr. von Braun replied "Either way." Following the show, Dr. von Braun and Eigor snuck into the circus trailers in an attempt to recapture Wilson but Deadpool recognized his previous torturers and attacked, headbutting Dr. von Braun in the stomach. After Deadpool kicked Eigor in the face, both Dr. von Braun and Eigor fled the scene.

    Persistent and now knowing his process worked, Dr. von Braun subsequently submitted another dog to the Mascara-X Project, this time adding the metal Adamantium to the dog. When it emerged from the process successfully, Dr. von Braun proclaimed the vicious, compact dog Badger and when Eigor instead suggested the name Wolverine, von Braun announced Wolverine was an even better name and decided to test his new creation against Deadpool. During the next circus performance, Dr. von Braun interrupted the ringmaster to introduce Wolverine and announce his new dog as the death of Deadpool. Announcing that Deadpool had snubbed his own creator, von Braun unleashed Wolverine and ordered him to kill Deadpool. Deadpool managed to trick Wolverine into a circus cannon, which a clown fired, launching Wolverine into a vat of acid, much to the chagrin of Dr. von Braun. He then watched in surprise as Earth-616's Deadpool appeared from a portal, picked up the dog Deadpool and departed Earth-103173.

    Dr. von Braun mentioned not spending enough time with Eigor anymore, vaguely suggesting that von Braun and Eigor were lovers.

    Dr. von Braun always wore a metal band around his neck but the reasoning behind doing so was unrevealed. It did not appear to grant him any sort of powers nor did it even grant him any particular protection from harm. Maybe it was just decorative?

    This profile was completed on 07/05/2026 but its publication was delayed, as it was intended for the Appendix's 25th anniversary celebratory event.

Babelline Cosmetics was a formerly prosperous cosmetics company that had fallen into third place in the consumer market. In an effort to get back on top, they hired Dr. von Braun, interested in his Mascara-X Project proposal promising completely regenerative, one-time only cosmetics. After Dr. von Braun failed to deliver successful results and especially seemed to fail with the dog Wilson, Dr. von Braun assumed Babelline would cut his funding and fire him.

Eigor

Eigor was Dr. von Braun's assistant in the Mascara-X Project for Babelline Cosmetics. He was the one who acquired the dog Wilson as a test subject and aided Dr. von Braun in subjecting Wilson to Mascara-X. When Wilson seemed to be a failure, Eigor suggested both he and von Braun could apply for a job with Old Spice and von Braun had Eigor toss the seemingly dead Wilson into a dumpster. Eigor later learned of the death-defying dog Deadpool at a local circus and he convinced von Braun to visit the circus to see the act. When von Braun became amazed with Deadpool, Eigor expressed suspicions that Deadpool was a surviving, regenerating Wilson and von Braun suggested they recapture the dog after the show. Their plan failed, however, when Deadpool recognized his former tormentors and attacked them, forcing them to flee the scene. Knowing the Mascara-X Project was successful, Eigor aided Dr. von Braun in subjecting a second dog to the Mascara-X Project, this time adding Adamantium into the mix to make the test subject unstoppable. Eigor then accompanied von Braun back to the circus, where Dr. von Braun unleashed the new test subject, now dubbed Wolverine, against Deadpool. After Deadpool tricked Wolverine into a vat of acid, Eigor and von Braun watched in surprise as Earth-616's Deadpool appeared, picked up the dog Deadpool and departed Earth-103173.
