DISORIENTER RAY
Classification: Terrestrial technology
Creator: Doctor Doom (Victor von Doom)
User/Possessors: Doctor Doom hologram
First Appearance: Solarman#2 (May, 1990)
Powers/Abilities/Functions: It could fire an energy blast that could immobilize any force on Earth. It didn't work on any force not from Earth.
History:
(Solarman#2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point Doctor Doom invented the
Disorienter Ray.
(Solarman#2) - A Doctor Doom hologram was attacked by the new hero Solarman and used the Disorienter Ray against him, but it didn't work because the source of Solarman's powers was the extraterrestrial Circlet of Power that was powered by sunlight. Neither was from Earth and so the Disorienter Ray didn't work.
Comments: Created by Stan Lee & Mike Zeck.
The name made no sense for what it was supposed to do and the limitation was kind of stupid as well.
