While he was using his wife's money to finance his operations, he had a
state-of-the-art
arsenal including weapons, vehicles and
power armor. His business sense seemed lacking, however.

comb over)
History: (Deadpool
III#4
(fb) - BTS) - Zeke had a long career as a mercenary with a reputation
for being a terrible human being. Among his associates in the business
was Deadpool. On one mission, Zeke turned on Deadpool, burying him up
to
his neck in a termite mound and leaving him behind. Though Zeke
presumably
knew this wouldn't be the end of the unkillable Deadpool, he did assume
it meant their association was over.
(Deadpool III#5
(fb) - BTS) - Zeke married a famous former supermodel and when
his own finances were insufficient, he used her credit to finance his
mercenary operations.
(Deadpool III#4
(fb) - BTS) - As Zeke's wife aged, she went to Europe to
seek the services of plastic surgeon
Dr. Druek Lovosno and undergo a procedure that would allow her to
regain
a youthful appearance by turning her into a flesh-eating zombie that
remained attractive and intelligent as long as she ate human flesh.
(Deadpool III#5
(fb) - BTS) -
Because because of Zeke's over-spending, his wife could not afford
Lovosno's services. Zeke eventually discovered that she had worked out
an arrangement to get the procedure by having a physical relationship
with Dr. Lovosno and remaining at his castle. This sickened and angered
Zeke.
(Deadpool III#4)
- Deadpool eventually contacted Zeke to ask for work, which surprised
Zeke, given how they had parted. Claiming he would pay a million
dollars for Deadpool to kill Lovosno and rescue his wife (a price that
Deadpool intimidated Zeke into raising so high), Zeke provided Deadpool
with weapons and transportation to eastern Europe.
(Deadpool III#5 (fb) - BTS) - Zeke secretly offered
Deadpool to Lovosno as payment to get his wife back, knowing Deadpool's
regenerative abilities could make him an inexhaustible source of human
flesh for Lovosno's zombies.
(Deadpool III#4) - Zeke had some of his own mercenaries follow Deadpool and keep him on track, and stayed in contact with Lovosno to ensure Deadpool was captured.
(Deadpool III#5)
- Given his deal with Lovosno, Zeke was surprised to later get a call
from Deadpool, who told him
that he had successfully escaped from and defeated Lovosno. Zeke flew
to Lovosno's castle base to be reunited with his wife, bringing with
him dozens of his soldiers to take down Deadpool without paying him,
but it had turned out Deadpool's cancerous flesh was unsuitable as
zombie food so Deadpool had struck his own deal with Lovosno: offering
to bait Zeke and his mercenaries into a trap so they could be eaten.
While his mercenaries were overrun by the zombies, Zeke was captured by
his wife and Lovosno, who intended to save him for dessert. Zeke was
bound and gagged and Deadpool left him in that situation, only to also
betray Lovosno, detonating explosives to bring down the castle, intent
on killing all the zombies as well.
We know little about Zeke's life before this adventure, apart from the fact that he was a mercenary and apparently a known jerk. Was he ever a Colonel in a legitimate military? Is "Zeke" even his real name or an alias? When in Deadpool's career did they work together? It feels possible that he may have been affiliated with other people in Deadpool's sphere, such as Patch from the Hellhouse.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Colonel Zeke has no known connections to:
Zeke's wife was once a famous supermodel. After she married Zeke, his finances dried up and he began using her credit as a way of paying for his mercenary business, for which she resented him. As she aged, her career was affected and she became concerned about her appearance. She went to eastern Europe to undergo an revolutionary plastic surgery procedure created by Dr. Druek Lovosno but because of her husband's use of her funds, she could not afford to pay Lovosno. Lovosno found her extremely beautiful, however, and he made a proposal to do the procedure in exchange for her having a relationship with him. Given her bitter feelings toward Zeke, she had no problem with that arrangement. She was injected with Lovosno's creation and became a kind of zombie, one that retained her intelligence and youthful appearance as long as it fed on human flesh, after which she remained with Lovosno in his castle.
Zeke attempted to pay to get his wife back by sending the mercenary
Deadpool to Lovosno so the zombies could feed on his regenerating
flesh. When that flesh turned out to be inedible, Zeke's wife went
along with a plan to capture Zeke and his mercenaries and eat them.
That plan succeeded but Deadpool then betrayed them all by blowing up
the castle, potentially destroying all the zombies, Zeke's wife
included.
