History:
(Hulk I#3) - As Sheriff Jonas Tolliver and his daughter Emma entered
the diner where Clem and Zeke were hanging out, Zeke asked if it were
true that Jonas was keeping Bruce Banner at the Faulkner city
courthouse and Clem followed up by asking Jonas if it was such a good
idea to bring Banner into town. Jonas responded by asking that if Clem
had a better idea, he would love to hear it, as Faulkner didn't exactly
have an abundance of maximum security holding pens. Clem suggested
Jonas contact FEMA since they were aware of the Hulk's recent activity
and Zeke wondered aloud why FEMA didn't bring something to house the
Hulk. Zeke then wondered about Faulkner's Hulk situation and whether or
not the Hulk might return, at which point Clem asked how the Faulkner
residents could sleep at night, not knowing whether they might wake up
dead. A grumbling Jonas responded that Clem could feel free to suggest
a way that Faulkner could be sure of that before reminding Clem and
Zeke that the Hulk had transformed back into Bruce Banner and was in no
hurry to get riled up again.
Comments: Created by John Byrne, Ron Garney and Dan Green.
When Clem first speaks to Sheriff Jonas Tolliver, Jonas calls him "Clem" but on the next page, Jonas refers to him as "Zeke." Given that Clem was seated at the diner next to another man, it stands to reason that the other man was Zeke and there was an error in either the word balloons or the writing in which Clem was accidentally referred to as Zeke. For the purposes of this profile, I am treating Clem and Zeke as two separate characters.
Clem's height and weight were
impossible to approximate. He was never next to any characters whose
height and weight have been officially determined and he was only ever
seen hunched over at a diner table.
This profile was completed on

Appendix's 25th anniversary celebratory event.
