History: (Punisher VII#50 (fb) - BTS) - Frank Castle was a U.S. marine who had a wife Maria and two children: Lisa and Frank Jr. He served a tour during the Vietnam War but was wounded by a shrapnel towards the end of it and returned home to his family. His children got sick, causing them to skip a planned day in the park. Frank and Maria eventually moved to Ditmas Park, while their children grew up and started families of their own. Frank preferred not to talk about his Vietnam combat experience to anyone.
(Punisher VII#50) - The extended Castle family gathered for a family dinner. Frank Jr. and his wife, Jessie, discussed a recent violent crime case, and Jessie asked Frank for his opinion, but he said that he did not like thinking about such things at all. Lisa's husband, Tony, asked Frank about his Vietnam tour and what he would advise today's kids about joining the military while the Iraq War was still ongoing. Frank responded that he was in no position to advise anyone about anything other than to visit the Washington, D.C. memorial and read the names before making their decision. As the sun set, the kids and their families departed, leaving Frank and Maria to enjoy their time together.
(Punisher VII#50 - BTS) - These events were seen in a dream by the Punisher of Earth-200111.
Comments: Created by Garth Ennis and Howard Chaykin.Frank's physical characteristics are extrapolated from his Earth-200111 counterpart, as he refers to himself as "fat".
