Powers/Abilities: Burning Skull rode a fiery motorcycle and wielded a chain as a weapon. He probably had other abilities, but didn't survive long enough to demonstrate them.

   He suffered from rhotacism, pronouncing Rs as Ws, except it seems when he says the word burn.

History:
(Dead Clown#3 (fb) - BTS) - Burning Skull was a flaming skeleton superhero who rode a motorbike with fiery wheels. He was sufficiently established within the hero community as to be known of by Captain Hero, a member of premiere hero team Force America, though they hadn't actually met. When he saw an advert in Hero Illustrated looking for superhumans who could assist Captain Hero in taking down the miscreant responsible for his team's destruction, Ghastly the Dead Clown, Burning Skull decided to lend his aid.

(Dead Clown#3) - Burning Skull's arrival at the scheduled sign-up for the Dead Clown hunt was delayed by terrible traffic. When he arrived he discovered that Ghastly had infiltrated the meeting disguised as him. Since the imposter had only left moments earlier Captain Hero called all assembled to immediately begin the hunt. After discovering him only to lose him again, the group eventually located their prey a second time, and all the heroes charged Ghastly, with Burning Skull shouting his battlecry "Burn On!" However, while evading them Ghastly had broken into the home of the comic's writer and stolen the final script for the issue. Able to control their reality via this, Ghastly killed all his attackers via various forms of Deus ex Machina; in Burning Skull's case, his head exploded.

   Burning Skull was previously included as a sub-profile in Dead Clown's Appendix entry, before being expanded here into his own profile.

   Clearly a parody of not just Ghost Rider, but the then-current Dan Ketch incarnation, Burning Skull joined a number of similarly thinly disguised parodies. Only some were named, so where I could identify the individuals that unnamed ones were parodying, I've listed them in quotes by the names of their inspirations.

   This profile was completed on 08/24/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary's celebratory event to represent Dead Clown.
