History:
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Lotus and the Steel" - BTS) - Takaki was a young Japanese criminal and loyal subordinate of the villainous Silver Samurai, serving among the armored warlord's motorcycle gang during their campaign of intimidation and extortion throughout rural Japan.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Lotus and the Steel") - Takaki accompanied the Silver Samurai and his gang as they terrorized isolated villages throughout rural Japan, forcing poor villagers to pay tribute in exchange for their so-called protection. Upon learning of Wolverine's presence within one such village, the Silver Samurai warned the X-Man not to interfere in their affairs.
Some time later, Takaki and the gang arrived at the village to collect tribute owed to the Silver Samurai. When the starving villagers explained they had suffered through a terrible year and were unable to gather the demanded payment in time, Takaki aggressively threatened the village elder Yoshida. Before he could escalate the situation further, however, the young fisherman Soichi pulled Takaki from his motorcycle in defense of the villagers. Before violence could erupt, the Silver Samurai intervened and reminded Takaki that creating martyrs among the villagers would not benefit their cause. The Silver Samurai instead ordered Yoshida to better control his people and declared the tribute would now be doubled when they returned in two days' time. Afterwards, he instructed Takaki to provide the villagers with a demonstration of the consequences of defying them.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Lotus and the Steel" - BTS) - Following the Silver Samurai's orders, Takaki set fire to the temple the local monks had been constructing with Wolverine's help. After Wolverine helped rescue Master Oku from the burning structure, the mutant finally decided he could no longer stand aside while the villagers suffered under the Silver Samurai's reign of terror. Meanwhile, Soichi attempted to organize the frightened villagers into resisting the bandits.
(X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon - "Lotus and the Steel") - Takaki later stood beside the Silver Samurai as the villain instructed his men to slaughter the fishermen should they attempt to resist. Confused as to why such a small and insignificant village mattered so much, Takaki listened as the Silver Samurai explained that every fearful village represented another link in the chain that kept the surrounding lands under his control.
The following day, Takaki led the Silver Samurai's forces into the village to seize the overdue tribute, only for the gang to fall victim to numerous traps secretly prepared by the villagers. After losing many of his men along the way, Takaki ordered the remaining troops to destroy the village and loot whatever valuables remained. However, the attackers were ambushed once more when heavy timber beams suspended from kites crashed down upon them from above. Determined to crush the resistance, Takaki pursued the fleeing villagers toward the shoreline where the fishermen had constructed a massive wooden dam as their final trap. The villagers destroyed the structure at the last moment, unleashing a powerful torrent of water that swept Takaki and the motorcycle gang away.
After washing ashore, Takaki attempted to regroup while the victorious villagers held the surviving gang members at bay. One of the criminals attempted to draw a firearm but was stopped by the sudden arrival of Jubilee, who had come searching for Wolverine. Attempting to flee the scene on his motorcycle, Takaki was stopped when Soichi hurled a spear through the vehicle's wheel, sending the criminal flying over a fence and directly into a muddy pig pen. Dragging Takaki back out of the mud before the cheering villagers, Soichi mockingly remarked that even the pigs could not stand him. Shortly afterwards, the Silver Samurai himself was defeated by Wolverine after the mutant finally embraced his true warrior spirit. With the gang's reign of terror ended, Jubilee was reunited with Wolverine while Takaki and the remaining bandits were left defeated before the villagers.
