History:
(X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon - "Tolerance is Extinction - Part I" - BTS) - William Stryker was a well-known public figure who spoke out against mutantkind, warning of the threat he believed they posed to humanity. Convinced that a Mutant-Human World War was inevitable, he used his articulate and persuasive rhetoric to fuel anti-mutant hysteria.
(X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon - "Tolerance is Extinction - Part I") - Following the revelation that Charles Xavier, long believed to have died after an attack by Henry Gyrich, was still alive, and about to marry the alien Shi'ar Empress Lilandra, Stryker was invited to appear on 6News' Live News Room to comment on the situation.
During the broadcast, Stryker reiterated his belief that a Mutant-Human World War was inevitable, warning that Xavier could potentially bring an alien force to Earth and that all of humanity would suffer the consequences.
