History:
(Amazing Spider-Man I#121 (fb) - BTS) - The doctor Ray was friends with
businessman Norman Osborn for many years.
(Amazing Spider-Man I#121) - Ray was in the Osborn
home tending to a very sick Harry Osborn as Harry's friends Gwen Stacy
and Mary Jane Watson were visiting. Admitting that he had done all he
could for Harry, Ray remarked that he'd rather have Harry in a hospital
rather than Norman Osborn's home, but he opted to keep Harry's
condition quiet per Norman's request. Gwen then reminded Ray that he
had yet to tell them what was wrong with Harry and when Gwen asked if
Harry had been taking drugs again, Ray suspected Harry had taken LSD.
Revealing to Gwen and MJ that he had given Harry a shot of Thorazine to
keep him tranquilized to offset the drug's effects, Ray theorized that
Harry's depressed state could have exacerbated the drug's effects and
diagnosed Harry with total clinical psychosis or schizophrenia. As Ray
was leaving the Osborn home later that evening, he informed Norman
Osborn that there was nothing more he could do for Harry, reiterating
that while he still felt Harry needed to be in a hospital, it was still
Norman's decision. Norman acknowledged Ray's suggestion and thanked him
for coming, at which point Ray expressed wishes that he could do more.
He then explained that, from that point on, only Harry could help
himself before bidding Norman a good night and departing.

Ya know, for a doctor so sure he
could diagnose schizophrenia in Harry, he sure failed to notice in
Norman! Just my two cents on how great of a doctor Ray was...
