History:
(Marvel Two-in-One I#84 (fb) - BTS) - Affter being married to Patricia, James began taking her on an annual October camping trip to the banks of the Churchill River in northeastern Saskatchewan. James and Patricia worked hard at their jobs in order to afford all the equipment they needed for camping, including a truck bed camper, a tent, canoe, stove and stereo.
(Marvel Two-in-One I#84) - On the 4th anniversary of their wedding, James and Patricia once again went camping by the Churchill River, when they were interrupted by the arrival of the supernatural being Ranark the Ravager. Ranark assaulted their campsite, not understanding the equipment they were using for camping and deriding it as "magic," he started ripping their possessions into pieces. Patricia was upset by Ranark's behavior because they'd worked so hard to afford the objects he was destroying, but when she tried to stop him, Ranark slapped her aside. Now angered, James took up a hatchet and tried to attack Ranark, but Ranark emitted beams that filled James with "searing agony." Patricia was overcome by hysteria and cradled James for hours while he screamed non-stop, until the arrival of the local authorities.

Patricia "Patty" Matthews is James' wife. She went on annual camping trips with James to the Churchill River in northeastern Saskatchewan. On the 4th trip, their campsite was attacked by Ranark and he destroyed much of their camping equipment. When Patricia tried to stop him, Ranark swatted her aside. James tried to defend her by attacking Ranark but Ranark filled him with such agony he was left screaming for hours; the ordeal drove Patricia into hysteria and she cradled James until the authorities arrived to help them.
