History:
(Tales to Astonish I#46/1 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking to determine if Earth was suitable for conquering and colonization, a group of at least five A-Chiltarians, including Kraglin and an unidentified captain, were sent to Earth as an advance scouting party.

They either built a robot on A-Chiltar and brought it to Earth, or built it once on Earth. In an effort to use superstition to cloak their activities, the aliens set up a base on one of the Greek islands and designed their robot in the form of a giant Cyclops out of Greek mythology.

The advance scouting party sent their Cyclops robot to capture ships sailing in the vicinity of their island base, successfully convincing the locals that one of the ancient Cyclopes inhabited the islands. The sailors aboard the captured ships were subjected to a "Mentalscope," which could read their mental patterns.
As a result of the Cyclops' capturing ships, local seamen refused to take their ships out.

(Tales to Astonish I#46/1) - The super-heroes Ant-Man (Henry Pym) and the Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) took a vacation in the Greek Isles. They learned of and investigated the Cyclops when a seaman allowed them to take his ship out on their own. Initially, they were paralyzed by pain caused by their insect communication antennae picking up interference from the telepathic speech of the aliens. After adjusting their wavelengths, the heroes learned of the aliens' plans.

Kraglin's captain noted their Mentalscope readings indicated humans were inferior to them and would be easily conquered, and he confirmed that Kraglin should notify A-Chiltar of this fact. Unable to abide insects, the captain instructed Kraglin to step on the nearby insects, for which he had mistaken Ant-Man and the Wasp. As Kraglin attempted to do so, the Wasp stung his foot, causing him to lift his leg high enough for Ant-Man to lasso Kraglin's foot and pull him off balance. Unsure of what had happened and no longer seeing the "insects," the captain instead ordered the crew to direct their brain impulses to command the Cyclops to destroy the imprisoned humans.

But realizing the Cyclops was a robot and correctly figuring he might be able to override the aliens' mental control of the robot from within it, Ant-Man flew (via a flying ant) in the Cyclops' mouth. Meanwhile, Wasp found a wasps' nest nearby the prisoners and guards, and she led the wasps in an assault on the guards, then grew to normal size and freed the sailors. Before the Cyclops robot could grab them, Ant-Man altered the frequency of the robot's brain to one he could control via his cybernetic helmet. Under Ant-Man's command, the Cyclops crushed one of the A-Chiltarians' spaceships, and the aliens incorrectly assumed Earthlings possessed greater powers of mental control than they. The aliens fled Earth, intending to return to A-Chiltar III and report that Earthlings were too powerful to conquer. Ant-Man commanded the Cyclops robot to put the captured ships back into the bay, and then to wander into the Mediterranean Sea, intending it to rust and topple to the ocean's floor.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED (and the Guardians of the Galaxy movie) (see comments)

(Yondu#4 (fb)) - Kraglin became friends with Yondu after the latter joined the Ravagers.

(All-New Guardians of the Galaxy Annual#1 (fb) - BTS) - Yondu Udonta eventually made Kraglin his first officer. He was around when Yondu took in young Peter Quill.

At some point Yondu planned to steal Galactus' Transliminal Tuning Fork from a planet in the Jojola Nebula to sell it, but he needed outside help to get it. He put together a plan that saw him get arrested and then trick the Guardians of the Galaxy's leader Star-Lord (Peter Quill) to take him to the planet and help him find and steal the device from a horde of Punisher robots. Kraglin and the Ravagers followed them and waited until Yondu gave the order to get involved.

(All-New Guardians of the Galaxy Annual#1) - Yondu finally gave the order after getting rid of Gamora leaving only him and Star-Lord (Peter Quill) left aboard the Milano, the Guardians' ship. Kraglin hailed the Milano and told Quill to prepare to be boarded or else the Milano would be destroyed. The Ravagers used a tractor beam to take the Transliminal Tuning Fork from a statue the Punishers were building, but accidentally also took some of the Punishers aboard with it. Kraglin welcomed Yondu back aboard and the captured Star-Lord, whom he still remember from the past, as well and informed his boss that he had sent three of his best men to capture the other Guardians of the Galaxy according to their plan. He and Yondu were both shocked when they learned that some of the Punishers had accidentally been brought aboard. The Ravagers were forced to abandon their ship and fled with the Guardians to the base where Rocket had earlier discovered the fork's location. Kraglin and the rest of the Ravagers fought the Punishers alongside Drax, Quill, Groot and Rocket until Gamora arrived and used the Transliminal Tuning Fork to defeat the robots. Kraglin, Yondu and the rest of the Ravagers were taken captive by the Guardians and taken aboard the Milano in handcuffs.

(Yondu#5 (fb) - BTS) - Some of the last M'krann hired the Ravagers to acquire the Herald's Urn for them.

(Yondu#1 (fb) - BTS) - Even though Yondu had been kicked out of the Ravagers, Kraglin stayed friends with him and contacted him when he needed safe transport after a weapons deal. Kraglin stayed uncharacteristically short on details.

(Yondu#1) - Yondu arrived at Kraglin's coordinates near the Tittleman's Quist and found his old friend Kraglin and the other Ravagers dead with the Herald's Urn next to them.

Comments: Created by Stan Lee, H.E. Huntley & Don Heck.

A character named Kraglin was part of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Was he an A-Chiltarian? No! Was the comic book version's design changed to look more like Sean Gunn, who played the character? Yes!

Kraglin started out as part of the Cyclops robot profile, then received a sub-profile as part of the A-Chiltarian profile and now has his own profile.

Profile by Snood & Markus Raymond.
