JESTER
Real Name: Unrevealed
Identity/Class: Normal human (Old West era)
Occupation: Vigilante
Group Membership: None
Affiliations: Barman (name unrevealed, loose)
Enemies: Hendrix (first name unrevealed) and
his gang
Known Relatives: Father, mother, three
brothers (all deceased) (see comments)

Base of Operations: "Panhandle" (likely Texas,
see comments), USA
First Appearance: Ringo Kid#2/3
(October, 1954)
Powers/Abilities: The Jester is a cunning strategist in his pursuit of outlaws. The lies he spins about his sharpshooting reputation are believable. However, both of his arms have been permanently disabled so that he has difficult lifting much weight or controlling his fingers; he cannot shoot a gun, although he carries one with him for show. His height, weight, eye color and hair are all unrevealed.
History:
(Ringo Kid#2/3 (fb) - BTS) - Hendrix and a group of
men burned down a small squatter's house. They killed the man, woman
and three teen boys living there, leaving the five-year-old boy with
both arms shot so that he couldn't years later come after them. Many
years passed and the need for revenge in the boy festered while Hendrix
and his gunsels continued. As he grew, the boy regained limited use of
his arms but could not shoot a gun. He began spreading false stories of
a sharpshooting gunman dubbed the Jester, so-called because of his
laughing guns and he was ranging the Panhandle looking for Hendrix and
his men.
(Ringo Kid#2/3) - Fifteen years after the attack, the Jester finally caught up with
Hendrix and his seven men in a saloon. Afraid, Hendrix questioned the
would-be gunman's motives and the Jester told him the half-truth that
he was seeking revenge using bullets, but also lied that he had a man
inside Hendrix's gang who would betray Hendrix and help the Jester in
the shootout. Coincidentally, a wintery gust caused a window to bang
and a nervous gang member shot the ceiling lantern, flooding darkness.
The Jester ducked behind the bar with the bartender as rapid gunfire
flare mixed with screams as the gunmen shot each other. Once the
shooting had stopped, the Jester waited a few minutes and lit a
lantern. Hendrix and his seven men had all shot and killed each other
in panicked frenzy. The fearful bartender served the Jester's request
for a drink as he revealed the truth.
Comments: Creator(s) not credited.
The Jester didn't say outright that the man, woman and three teen boys were immediate family, but it's implied as they were all living in the same house when he was just 5 years old.
The Jester refers to being in "the Panhandle"; multiple "panhandles" (which is more of an elongated territorial/geographic feature) were used as a descriptor in the Old West, including Nebraska and Oklahoma, but the most likely is Texas with regard to popularity and cowboy folklore.
I highly doubt the Jester's gun was actually loaded,
given he couldn't handle a gun.
This was a text-only story with only one image of a six-shooter being fired by an anonymous gloved hand.
