Powers: Torg possesses superhuman size and strength (approximately class 50-75), and can breathe underwater. He has the ability to command other sea-based life-forms, such as sea lions, to follow simple directions.

History: The origins of the creature known as Torg are not known. He claimed that "no one knows my beginning-- no one knows my end!"

(Sub-Mariner I#55)- Torg set about sinking vessels that passed through the waters around Antarctica, and used sea lions under his control to bring the survivors and supplies to his frozen cavern. These actions were observed by the Sub-Mariner, who followed the sea lions back to his lair, and fought Torg, along with the captured sailors.

In the course of their battle, Torg was assaulted by navy helicopters, but could not be injured by them. Finally, the Sub-Mariner turned a pipe of oil upon him. When Torg returned to the surface, the oil congealed, freezing him solid. Namor knocked him back into the waters with a block of ice, hopefully for good.

(Avengers III#43)- Torg was later found by Attuma, and taken control by the Atlantean Serestus, using a Control Pearl. Attuma brought Torg along for his attempted invasion of Prince Edward Island, and fought the Avengers, but when Triathlon knocked the Control Pearl away from Serestus, he became disoriented, and was knocked into the ocean by Jack of Hearts.
