Namorita (Namorita Prentiss) Sub-Mariner #50 (1972) Atlantean clone and cousin of the Sub-Mariner, aided the Fantastic Four, fought alongside Spider-Man as one of the New Warriors, briefly mutated into new form as Kymaera, former girlfriend of Nova.

 

Nardi Amazing Spider-Man I #411 (1996) Large deformed member of Cell-12.

 

National Crime Syndicate ("Three Fingers" Eddie Enders, Honeysuckle Muldoon, others) Amazing Spider-Man I #220 (1981) Held "grand larceny" competition to appoint replacement secretary when Enders died; Spider-Man and Moon Knight infiltrated and destroyed the group after Moon Knight beat the Rat Pack and the Midnight Mob to become the prime candidate.

 

Nautilus Spider-Man Unlimited I #6 (1994) Enforcer of the Hammerhead Maggia family, wore armor equipped with missiles, partner of Razorwire, sought to bring in Slyde when he stole from the Maggia, defeated by Spider-Man and Cage.

 

Nebula Avengers I #257 (1985) Female space pirate, claims to be descendant of Thanos and alien warrior Zorr, briefly obtained cosmic levels of power with Infinity Union and the Infinity Gauntlet, opposed by Spider-Man and the Avengers on both occasions.

 

Necrodamus Defenders I #1 (1972) Sorcerer, worships dark gods, sought to possess bodies of others to replace his aged form, fought the Defenders, possessed the Vision's body, defeated by Spider-Man and the Scarlet Witch; later fought the Fantastic Four.

 

Negative Zone Fantastic Four I #51 (1966) Anti-matter universe frequently visited by the Fantastic Four, home to Annihilus and Blastaar; Spider-Man has traveled there on occasion, once temporarily replacing the hero Dusk.

 

Nekra (Nekra Sinclair) Shanna the She-Devil #4 (1973) Mutant, derives strength and invulnerability from hatred, operated several clinics to study hate; fought Spider-Woman (Drew), joined the Grim Reaper's Lethal Legion, later fought Spider-Man when he investigated one of her clinics.

 

Nemesis Alpha Flight I #76 (1989) Skilled fighter, wielded sword able to cut through virtually anything, member of Alpha Flight; fought the Chess Set alongside her teammates, Wolverine, and Spider-Man.

 

Nephilia (Dr. Bradley Shaw) Spider-Man (1981): "The Web of Nephilia" Scientist, sought to mimic Spider-Man's powers, mutated into half-spider form, defeated by Spider-Man. (TV) 

 

Nest (Brahma, Vishnu, Yama Dharma, Kali, Shiva, Mara, Ratri, Agni) Marvel Team-Up Annual #1 (1976) A.K.A. the Lords of Light and Darkness, group of mutated scientists modeled after Hindu gods, fought Spider-Man and the X-Men, merged into a single entity and left for space

 

Nesters, Ray Amazing Spider-Man I #253 (1984) Professional football player for the New York Mammoths, threw games for the Rose (Fisk); ultimately admitted actions and accepted consequences despite the Rose's threat to both him and his younger brother Tony, an ESU student.

 

New Enforcers (Eel (Lavell), Plantman, Vanisher, Blitz, Tangle, Thermite, Super-Adaptoid, Dragon Man (field operatives); Madame Menace, Controller, Fixer, Mentallo, Mister Fear (inner circle)) Web of Spider-Man #99 (1993) Super-villain organization, planned to control underworld, field operatives fought Spider-Man and Blood Rose while ruling inner circle remained secret, evidently unsuccessful in long-term goals.

 

New Mutants (Karma, Cannonball, Moonstar, Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Warlock, Magma (Alison Crestmere), Magik, Cypher, Bird-Brain, Gossamyr, Boom Boom (Meltdown), Rusty Collins, Rictor, Skids) Marvel Graphic Novel #4:  The New Mutants (1982) Third group of mutants organized by Professor X.  Spider-Man first encountered Warlock after he had been experimented upon and spied on the team when Warlock returned to them; they fought alongside Spider-Man and Cloak and Dagger when drug dealers mutated Wolfsbane and Sunspot.  The team disbanded and reformed as X-Force.

 

New Warriors (Night Thrasher, Namorita, Nova, Speedball, Justice, Firestar, Silhouette, Rage, Dagger, Darkhawk, Hindsight, Powerhouse (Zero-G), Turbo, Turbo II, Timeslip, Helix, Scarlet Spider, Bolt, Aegis) Thor I #411 (1989) Team of young adult heroes, worked alongside Spider-Man against various threats both as team members and individually; the Scarlet Spider briefly belonged to this team before taking over Peter Parker's identity of Spider-Man.

 

Nexus of All Realities Savage Tales I #1 (1971) Focal point of mystic energies, vital to the maintenance of reality, located in the Florida swamp inhabited by the Man-Thing; Spider-Man's adventures have led him to protect it a number of times.

 

Nexus Corporation Amazing Spider-Man II #43 (2002) Corporation formerly run by Carlyle.

 

Nickel Spider-Man:  Get Kraven #1 (2002) Talking wolf, friend of Al Kravinoff.

 

Nelson, Franklin P. "Foggy" Daredevil I #1 (1964) Law partner of Matt Murdock, briefly worked for the Kingpin, learned Matt's secret identity of Daredevil, briefly dated Liz Osborn until the relationship was sabotaged in Mysterio (Beck)'s campaign against Daredevil.

 

Night Thrasher (Dwayne Michael Taylor) Thor I #411 (1989) Wealthy, used body armor and rocket-powered skateboard as founder of the New Warriors, joined his teammates and Spider-Man against the Hero Killers, fought alongside Spider-Man and other heroes against the Secret Empire, briefly led Psionex, retired from crimefighting to be more effective on a corporate level.

 

Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) Giant-Size X-Men # (1975) Demonic-looking mutant, able to teleport and cling to walls, accomplished swordsman and acrobat, longtime member of the X-Men, also served in Excalibur; first encountered Spider-Man when each blamed the other for Jigsaw's murders, worked with Spider-Man and the Punisher against Jigsaw, later helped him alongside fellow team members.

 

Nighthawk (Kyle Richmond) Avengers I #69 (1969) Originally used night-enhanced strength as member of the Grandmaster's Squadron Sinister, became hero in the Defenders, used special wings for flight, fought the Meteor Man and Mindy Williams alongside Spider-Man, underwent various misfortunes, apparently died protecting the world, revived years later and rejoined the Defenders.

 

Nightmare Strange Tales I #110 (1963) Demonic being, feeds upon humans in their dreams, enemy of Doctor Strange, attempted to prey upon pre-adolescent Peter Parker, once drew Spider-Man into the Dream Dimension to protect him from the Hulk.

 

Nightstalkers (Blade, Hannibal King, Frank Drake) Nightstalkers #1 (1992) Team of adventurers seeking occult menaces, fought alongside Spider-Man against Spider-X and Zzzax; disbanded.

 

Nightwatch (Kevin Barry Trench) Web of Spider-Man #97 (1993) Received nanotechnology-powered suit from his dying future self years ago; sought to avoid his death by remaining isolated, but returned when Alfredo Morelli stole one of his gloves to become Gauntlet; fought alongside Spider-Man against Warforce, became player in the Great Game, killed by el Toro Negro and Polestar.

 

Nihilists Infinity Abyss #1 (2002) Alien followers of X and the other Thanosi; fought Spider-Man, Captain Marvel (Genis-Vell), and others.

 

Nikki (Nicholette Gold) Marvel Presents #4 (1976) Hot-tempered and fire-powered Mercurian from the thirtieth century, one of the Guardians of the Galaxy, aided Spider-Man against Hammer and Anvil.

 

Nitro (Robert Hunter) Captain Marvel I #34 (1974) Empowered by the Kree, can explode and reform, responsible for giving Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell) cancer; once released from containment by his daughter Virginia, but Spider-Man defeated him; later attacked Norman Osborn while apparently in employ of the Kingpin.

 

Nocturne (Angela Cairn) Spectacular Spider-Man II #190 (1992) Police officer investigating Vermin, mutated into winged form by the Mutilation Killer, able to control emotions and heal, helped Spider-Man against the Mutilation Killer, intervened in battle between Spider-Man and Puma, healed Puma from feral state.

 

Noletti, Marc Spectacular Spider-Man II #114 (1986) Found Spider-Man's costume while robbing Peter Parker's apartment; wore it during a crime, caught by police, blackmailed by Captain Polanski into fighting the Barons gang, rescued by Spider-Man, went straight and opened his own electronics business.

 

Nomad (Jack Monroe) Young Men #24 (1953) As Bucky, partner of the 1950s Captain America; revived in modern era, fought alongside Captain America against various enemies; fought the Taskmaster and the Black Abbott alongside Spider-Man, became wandering vigilante; later became government operative called Scourge, apparently retired after regaining freedom.

 

Nonesuch Marvel Graphic Novel #22:  Spider-Man:  Hooky (1986) Sentient flying ship of Spindrifter in the Cloudsea dimension.

 

North, Dakota Dakota North #1 (1986) Private investigator, skilled in hand-to-hand and armed combat, worked with Spider-Man against the Slasher; has also worked with the Black Panther, Power Pack, the Punisher, and Cage.

 

Northstar (Jean-Paul Beaubier) Uncanny X-Men #120 (1979) Super-fast flying mutant, brother of Aurora, served in Alpha Flight with her, fought the Collector alongside his teammates and Spider-Man, later joined the X-Men, noted as one of the few publicly gay super-heroes.

 

Norton, "Nose" Daredevil I #148 (1977) Underworld informant targeted for assassination by the Brand Corporation as punishment for exposing their activities; almost killed by the Tarantula (Rodriguez), protected by Spider-Man.

 

Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time Players Marvel Team-Up I #74 (1978) Comedy-variety show performers, once caught in battle between Spider-Man and the Silver Samurai.

 

Nova (Richard Rider) Nova I #1 (1976) Received super-strength, flight, energy-powers from Xandarian Nova Corps; member of the New Warriors, has worked with Spider-Man against Photon (Dean), the Hostiles, the Tri-Sentinel, the Secret Empire, and others.
