History: (Captain Savage and his Battlefield Raiders#11 (BTS))- The Howling Commandos and Battlefield Raiders were sent to capture scientist Terry Reiker, who was said to be on the verge of developing an atomic bomb for the Japanese. During the course of their mission, Battlefield Ranger Lee Baker was killed by a sniper.

(Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos#64)- Upon invading the castle where Reiker worked, the Howlers were surprised to discover that Reiker was a woman, as they had expected a man. She flatly refused to leave with them willingly, believing that the Japanese supported the cause of pacifism, so Sgt. Fury clapped his hand over her mouth and dragged her along.

Reiker believed that Fury and his men were "victims of the sick American society!" And that they had been "raised to hate, and plunder and kill!" Just as the Howlers were about to escape the castle, she broke free from Fury and sounded the alarm. Fury sent his men to escape while he chased after Reiker. Just as he caught her, guards appeared and cornered them. Fury placed Reiker in front of him as a human shield to prevent them from shooting, and Reiker asked the commanding Japanese colonel to prove her right about the peace-loving Japanese by not shooting. But the colonel responded that she was wrong-- their only intent in having her develop the atomic bomb was so that it could be used as a weapon. With tears in her eyes, Terry realized she had been wrong.

Fury managed to evade the guards, and locked himself and Reiker inside a room, and held out until the Howlers returned to rescue them, alongside the Battlefield Raiders. Fury and Savage prepared to bring Reiker to safety, but Reiker sadly informed them that now having seen her dreams crushed, she had no desire to go on living. Fury demanded that she come or he would carry her over his shoulder, so she agreed, but only to spare further violence.

As they sped to Australia with Reiker, Fury asked her if she still thought the United States was wrong for fighting in the war. She replied, "I don't know who's wrong and who's right! Sergeant! I only know that killing is wrong-- and that I cannot condone it, no matter what the cost!"

Terry Reiker was returned to the allied forces in Australia.

Two days later, she was killed during a war protest.
