History:
(Dracula Lives#11/3 (fb) - BTS) - Overwhelmed by the size of New York City and
his being lost in it, he came to the conclusion that the only way to become
known was to gain power: "Who you are is who you can kill!"
(Dracula
Lives#11/3) - He called in a personal ad to the New York Oracle, leaving his
message with Angel O'Hara: "I'm lost in th' shuffle today. Tomorrow, everyone'll
know me. For tonight I KILL. (signed) Nobody Anybody Knows." Leaving only a box
at Grand Central Station as his address, he abruptly hung up on Angel, ignoring
her offers to talk, muttering that nobody wanted to talk to him. Angel
sought out his identity from Grand Central, finding the name "Tom Smith," with
his address at 881 Christopher Street in the Village, but Angel found that to be
a demolished building. Everyone else made light of the threat, but when they
ordered some Chicken Delight for dinner, the waiter shot the paper's editor, Jon
Erickson, killing him. Escaping before anyone could get a look at his face, he
fled into the streets. Angel transformed into Lilith and pursued him as he
randomly shot people in his flight. Lilith tackled him, but he managed to stun
her with the butt of his revolver. He continued to flee and shoot people, and
when Lilith caught up to him again, he was out of bullets. Realizing fighting
the vampire was futile, he decided to use his power to end his own life. He
jumped off of a building and his face was smashed against an oncoming car during
his fall...leaving him unrecognizable. Even Lilith had not gotten a look at his
face.
