Identity/Class: Terrestrial magically enhanced computer program

Affiliations: Agent of Mys-Tech

Enemies: Genetix

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Mys-Tech Central, Museum of Pagan Antiquities, London, England

First Appearance: Death Metal vs Genetix#1 (Marvel UK, December 1993)

Powers: Mainstream possesses a great degree of energy manipulative powers, combining the best aspects of technology and magical energy. It draws data from the techno-magical computers of Mys-Tech. Armed with sufficient information on its foes, it can counter virtually any attack, neutralize any ability, and determine and attack any weakness. It can absorb energy from one assault, store it, and use it to attack another foe.

History: Mainstream was created by the Techno-Wizards of Mys-Tech as an extension of their massive computers.

(Death Metal vs Genetix#1)-Mys-Tech sent Mainstream to destroy Genetix. The powerful entity had them at its mercy until it revealed its computer origins. Vesper used her technopathic abilities to attack its very make-up. This left her body vulnerable to assault, but the other members of Genetix were able to hold Mainstream off long enough for her to force it to discorporate.

Comments: Created by Simon Furman and Paco Diaz.

Mainstream was basically a plot device to demonstrate how powerful the Genetix were, just before they'd get their butss whupped by Death Metal.
