History: (Journey Into Mystery I#84)- Dr. Graham was one of several doctors who volunteered to journey to the country of San Diablo, in the midst of a revolution, to offer medical assistance. Along the way, the vessel carrying the doctors was assaulted by Communist jets, but they were destroyed by the hero Thor (who was secretly aboard as Dr. Donald Blake).

Upon their arrival at San Diablo, they were assaulted by the forces of the Executioner on several occasions, but each time, Thor appeared to destroy their weapons and drive them away. Eventually, the democratic army opposing the Executioner's forces arrived, and the Executioner was slain by his own army trying to flee. Dr. Graham and the other doctors were able to set up their hospital at San Diablo following the Executioner's death.

(Thor I#394)- Many years later, Dr. Graham met with Hollywood screenwriter Madelyn Arnstein, who was researching for a proposed live action Thor television series. She asked Graham about his encounter with Thor, and he briefly related the incident in San Diablo to her. She was interested in his account, as he was one of the first people to see Thor in action.
