History:
(What If? I#20) - During the Kree-Skrull war, Ronan captured Rick Jones, who fought back, striking him with a lance. Though he respected Rick's courage, he decided to put an end to it, slaying Rick with an energy blast, after which he sent a fleet of battleships to secure or decimate Earth. Meanwhile, the Avengers boarded a Skrull ship, and the Vision savagely beat Kalxor to learn the location of the Scarlet Witch, in the process learning of Plan Delta, which involved a ship carrying a nuclear warhead towards Earth. Captain America and the Vision traveled to the Skrull Throneworld to free the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, while the mutants twins simultaneously revived another of the Skrull's prisoners, Mar-Vell, who helped them escape.

Meanwhile, Reed Richards discovered the alien armada approaching Earth and contacted Professor X, who convinced the heroes of Earth to join them in taking the fight to the aliens. In addition, Goliath successfully piloted a ship past the Kree blockade and informed SHIELD of the imminent attack, but the Helicarrier was destroyed by the Kree as soon as SHIELD attacked them. While Mar-Vell, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch fought the Super-Skrull and other Skrull warriors, the Skrullian princess Anelle confronted the two mutants, introducing them to Skrull rebels who opposed her father, Emperor Dorrek.

Thor brought Iron Man, injured in battle against the Skrull armada, to Asgard to be healed, in the process also recruiting the warriors of Asgard to assist in the war. Aboard their longship, the Starjammer, the Asgardians assaulted the Skrulls, while the heroes of Earth (joined by the Silver Surfer) assaulted the Kree forces, and Captain America and the Vision joined forces with Mar-Vell, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch, finding that a civil war had broken out on the Skrull homeworld. At the same time, the Supreme Intelligence--who had been imprisoned by Ronan, but had managed to have Rick Jones' body brought to it and preserved--merged its form and powers with the Jones' inert body. The new Supremor overpowered Ronan and his forces, halting the Kree involvement in the struggle. Dorrek was slain in the Skrull rebellion when his weapon (outlawed by the Convention of Fornax) exploded. Anelle became the new Skrull empress, ending the Skrull's involvement in the war as well.

The Supremor placed Mar-Vell as his successor to ruling the Kree, charging him to keep the peace with the Skrulls, while the Supremor left for space to explore his new nature, also planning to study the universe he would some day master.

In addition, following the conflict, the Vision observed the Scarlet Witch caring for an injured Quicksilver, and vowed never to come between them.

Comments: Created by Tom DeFalco, Alan Kupperberf, and Bruce Patterson.

This would officially be Earth-804, if it hadn't been cut for space...

In the Earth-616 reality, as shown somewhere in Avengers I#96, Ronan gained respect for Rick's courage in attacking him and allowed him to live.

Like most issues that describe the use of the Skrull Saucer from Fantastic Four I#2, the spacecraft actually pictured is the ship of Kurrgo, Master of Planet X.

I guess R'Klll, Dorrek's wife, must have been killed in the civil war, too, or it would seem that she should have succeeded Dorrek, as she did after killing him on Earth-616.

Clarifications:

Supremor

The union of the Supreme Intelligence with the body and mind of Rick Jones, it had access to the Destiny Force, which it used to escape imprisonment, overpower Ronan, and end the Kree involvement in the Kree-Skrull war. It then appointed Captain Mar-Vell as its replacement as ruler of the Kree and headed off into space to explore its new nature and plot the eventual takeover of the universe.
