History:
(Knights of Pendragon II#9 - BTS / #14(fb)) - The Knights of Pendragon of Earth-616 helped save the extra-dimensional planet Arrakhyl from the Warheads and the Scourge.  The Warheads activated a mini-nuke, but with the help of Spider-Man, the Knights hurled the bomb into ley-space (interdimensional space). Unbeknownst to them, however, the nuclear bomb was shunted into Earth-313, and it exploded in the upper atmosphere of their world. This device, with a blast radius of 300 miles, vaporized.
On the shores of the Pacific, the Circle of Fire, long dormant, erupted in molten rage, a collar of flaming death.  In the Marianas Trench the oceans rolled back, exposing proud Atlantean cities to the poisoned sky, and millions died in choking agony. Many left on the surface of the Earth were killed by the immense cloud of ash released by the molten eruptions.
Fully one third of the population of Earth-313 was slain during the cataclysm, and more continued to die off as much of the atmosphere was now poisoned.

(Knights of Pendragon II#13 - BTS) - A group of Lemurian warriors from Earth-313--the Pendragons of their world--detected the cause of the explosion and sought vengeance. They hired the Earth-616 mercenaries Death's Head (Minion) to capture or slay the Knights of Pendragon of Earth-616. Death's Head attacked and defeated several of the Knights, but was ultimately captured by them.

(Knights of Pendragon II#14) - Magpie, an enemy of the Knights, freed Death's Head and joined with his against the Knights. As the battle raged on, the Lemurian Pendragons followed the trail to Death's Head and confronted the Knights. Accusing the Knights of betraying the trust of the Green Knight, they demanded their deaths.

(Knights of Pendragon II#15) - With the assistance of Death's Head and Magpie, the Lemurians soon had the Knights on the defensive. Albion then unleashed his full power and drove the Lemurians back, but touched the mind of one of the Lemurians in the process, and he realized that their accusations were true.  As Albion explained what had happened, Death's Head discovered that Magpie was in the process of summoning the evil Red Lord. The Knights and the Lemurians both sensed the presence of the Bane and joined forces to drive it back. When one of the Knights, Crown, sacrificed himself to push the Red Lord back through the dimensional gateway, saving all present. The Lemurians then realized that the Knights were not evil, and that the damage they had caused had been inadvertent.
Three of the Knights--Breeze James, Gawain, and Albion--went to Earth-313 with the Lemurians to help rebuild their world.

Clarifications:
Not to be confused with any other Earth's or their counterparts on Earth-616.

The Lemurians

None of them were identified by name. They had the capacity to teleport between dimensions, had some degree of superhuman strength, various energy powers or weapons, significant combat skills, and were extraordinarily flexible.
Presumably, as Lemurians, they were amphibious and adapted for aquatic life.
