(MCP#127/2): Ms. Carlyle was talking about a weapons deal with Dr. Otto Octavius while having an exquisite meal at Romita's in Chicago. When they left the restaurant she assured the Doctor once again that that he could expect the shipment of weapons by Monday. They went towards their limousine when Robert Baldwin ran into them. The impact caused Baldwin to transform into his superhero identity, while Carlyle fell to the ground . Dr. Octopus became angry when he saw the young hero Speedball and attacked him. Carlyle stopped Dr. Octopus from killing Speedball because she not only was she bored by the murder of teenagers, but she didn't had time for such things and wanted to talk more about business. She thanked Octavius when he dropped Speedball and told him to hurry into the limousine because she heard sirens approaching. Ms. Carlyle and Dr. Otto Octavius drove off into the night.

The events of this story happened before New Warriors I#1.

And there was a restaurant with the name Romita. Who were the owners? John Sr. and John Jr.? Funny!

Ms. Carlyle didn't get much background. She probably worked for a bigger organisation like A.I.M., Hammer Industries, Stane International or another organisation of such kind. Or she was a real strong woman with her own business.

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that she was somehow connected to Carlyle who stole the technology of Dr. Octopus in the storyline that ran through Amazing Spider-Man II#43-45?
