Powers/Abilities: Calumet possesses the conventional powers of the Native American Gods such as superhuman strength (possibly Class 25), stamina and resistance to injury. He also has certain undefined mystical powers to create illusions, cross dimensions and fire mystical energy from his pipe.
Calumet is presumably less hot-headed than some of his brethren, as he is described as "the pipe of peace of war. The calm arbitrater of combat."

History: (Doctor Strange: Sorcere Supreme#25)- Very little is known about Calumet except he is one of numerous Native American gods similar to the gods of Asgard and Olympus. When the trickster-god Nanabozho began his war on white men, he joined him in the conquest possibly out of alleigance to Hotamintanio, the war god. They tried to recruit Owayaodata to their cause but he refused. In retaliation, they attacked Red Wolf, his mortal disciple. The attack was sensed through the mystical dreams of Black Crow and sorcerer Doctor Strange. The heroes reminded the three Native American Gods that they were no better than the white men who had slaughtered their worshippers. Humiliated, Calumet, Hotamintanio and Nanabozho backed off from their attack on mortals.

Comments: Adapted by Fabian Nicieza and Ron Lim.

There is no god named Calumet in Native American Mythology. Calumet is actually the name of the ritual practiced and used by the Delaware Indians to seal signs of peace with their allies. The peace pipe in this ceremony is called a hobowakan.
