(Silver Surfer unproduced script, "The End of Eternity, Part 2" (fb)) - Lady Chaos rejected Thanos, causing a massive fight between the two that crossed galaxies and eventually destroyed the planet Saturnan as collateral damage.

(Silver Surfer cartoon episode, "The End of Eternity" (fb) - BTS) - While still trying to please Lady Chaos, Thanos was led into the far reaches of space and abandoned by her, where he began studying a massive energy source there, soon learning that it was an interdimensional nexus.

(Silver Surfer unproduced script, "The End of Eternity, Part 2" (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Thanos trapped Lady Chaos in the form of stone statue and began traveling the cosmos alongside her.

(Silver Surfer cartoon episode, "The Origin of the Silver Surfer, Part 2") - Trapped in her immobile, stone form, Lady Chaos was by the side of the mad Thanos as a planet housing reptilian aliens was destroyed. Thanos asked Lady Chaos if it pleased her to witness such ruinous grandeur. Mad, Thanos imagined Lady Chaos agreeing with him about Galactus being the definition of destruction. Continuing to think himself conversing with the immobile Lady Chaos, Thanos agreed that control was power and announced that the entire universe would fall beneath their feet. Following a meeting with his master Galactus, Silver Surfer's departure was witnessed by Thanos, who announced to Lady Chaos that he could crush Silver Surfer with but a gesture. He continued, announcing that if anyone knew Galactus' secrets, it would be the Silver Surfer and that he must find a way to entrap the Surfer. After wracking his brain, Thanos announced to Lady Chaos that he had a plan and the perfect pawn to put into play. Later, Thanos watched on a viewscreen as Silver Surfer nearly fell in a volcano on Ego the Living Planet and spoke to Lady Chaos, remarking on how intriguing the events were and wondering if the Surfer had any other weaknesses to exploit. Commending Lady Chaos on the plan, Thanos praised her skills in strategy before he had his ship fly into a wormhole. Emerging from the wormhole near Ego, Thanos assured Lady Chaos that success was a heartbeat away and that, soon, a metaphorical chain to bind Galactus would be Lady Chaos' to lock into place. When Thanos later failed to learn the secret of controlling Galactus from the Silver Surfer's mind, Thanos bowed to the immobile Lady Chaos, claiming he had failed her and was unworthy. As electricity flickered around Thanos, he begged for a chance to right the wrong he had seemingly committed against her, promising he would give her the universe so that together, they could destroy it.

(Silver Surfer cartoon episode, "Innervisions") -  After viewing a hologram of a peaceful planet he visited as a child, Thanos returned to the bridge of his ship and remarked to the immobile Lady Chaos how they were twin flames and thanked her for the joy released by their love. As thanks, Thanos announced that he was going to offer her the small gift of annihilation with the promise of more to come. As the petrified Lady Chaos stared blankly, Thanos used his ship to destroy a nearby planet's sun, with the resulting explosion eradicating the planet. Unaware the Silver Surfer had witnessed Thanos' trail of destruction towards the planet Harmony, Lady Chaos remained immobile as Thanos answered Lady Chaos' unasked question of why Thanos had chosen that particular solar system to destroy. Still thinking Lady Chaos was speaking to him, Thanos explained that the particular system was the same system visited by his family during his childhood as they toured the universe. Recalling how Mentor had been welcomed during their tour while Thanos himself was disdained, Thanos announced that, together with Lady Chaos, their powers would educate them all. When the Silver Surfer arrived to investigate the destruction, Thanos thanked the immobile Lady Chaos for the gift of a chance to revenge himself against Silver Surfer for his earlier failure. Lady Chaos then silently watched as Thanos blasted Silver Surfer with his ship, prompting the Surfer to enter a wormhole and emerge at the planet Harmony, hoping to warn them of Thanos' impending attack. Following, Thanos later exited a wormhole and as Lady Chaos silent watched, Thanos informed her that the planet Harmony was the last stop on his family's tour of the universe during his childhood. Recalling hurtful memories, Thanos continued to monologue to Lady Chaos, exclaiming that it was on Harmony that his father was given the suggestion that the child Thanos could benefit from studying on the peaceful planet of Zenn-La. As they neared Harmony, Thanos claimed that Lady Chaos asked for a closer look at Harmony's civilization, the Whynnm. Always eager to please his supposed beloved, Thanos zoomed in his viewscreen and learned of the Silver Surfer's presence on Harmony. Hugging Lady Chaos, Thanos exclaimed that he would not deprived of his revenge after all and, deeply moved by such a gift, Thanos expressed hope that the day would soon come when Lady Chaos abandoned her form of cold stone to show her true appearance to Thanos. As Thanos and Lady Chaos approached Harmony in Thanos' ship, Thanos remarked on his desire to eradicate the last part of his childhood torment but Silver Surfer had awakened the Whynnm from their illusory existence caused by the Zenn-Lavian Dream Weaver device. Silver Surfer and the Whynnm Beta Ray Bill then used the Dream Weaver to hit Thanos with a beam from the Dream Weaver, causing Thanos to see Harmony destroyed and what he thought was Lady Chaos' true form. Affected by the Dream Weaver, Thanos imagined Lady Chaos praising him and announcing that nothing would ever separate them, prompting the affected Thanos to warp his ship away from Harmony. After emerging from the warp, Thanos witnessed the Dream Weaver's illusions fade and Lady Chaos "return" to her stone form, much to his emotional agony.

(Silver Surfer cartoon episode, "The End of Eternity") - As Lady Chaos stood in her frozen stone form, the mad Thanos beseeched her to see what he had wrought. When she remained silent, Thanos accused her of mocking him and when she still remained silent, Thanos asked if she was ignoring him. Revealing his new time-reversing weapon, Thanos proclaimed that no woman could ignore a man who possessed the ultimate weapon. Upon showing Lady Chaos his weapon's time-reversing effects on a plant, Thanos realized his weapon was out of power and announced his plans to return to the source of its power to prove himself a worthy opponent. Shortly arriving at the power source, Thanos asked if Lady Chaos remembered the location as the interdimensional nexus where she had once betrayed him. Continuing to gloat at Lady Chaos, Thanos explained that the interdimensional nexus had been interwoven with time itself, allowing him to manipulate time itself by controlling the nexus. When Lady Chaos again remained silent, Thanos asked why he received no praise from her, demanding to know what he had to do to win her over. He soon claimed to hear Lady Chaos telling him that he must abandon his scattershot approach in favor of containing the entire nexus and use it to destroy the entire universe. Later, Lady Chaos unmovingly watched as Thanos contained the entire nexus then ventured into the center of the nexus, where they would be protected from its effects, able to watch as the universe destroys around it. Thanos announced to Lady Chaos that the destruction of everything in existence would be the truest expression of his love for her as the time-reversing nexus spread outward as a field, destroying everything in its path.

(Silver Surfer unproduced script, "The End of Eternity, Part 2") - Thanos gloated about the universe's destruction to the immobile, stone Lady Chaos. He then beckoned for Lady Chaos to open her true eyes to gaze upon his ultimate gift that proved him worthy of her love. Bragging that not even Lady Chaos' vaunted power could have accomplished such an act as reducing the entire universe to its pre-Big Bang state, Thanos extended his hand to Lady Chaos to show her the orb containing the remnants of the universe, unaware that the Silver Surfer still lived within it, unaffected by the nexus' time-reversal. When Lady Chaos again remained silent and immovable, Thanos grew angry and demanded to know where his deserved thanks and rewards were, remarking that Lady Chaos could only be remaining so cold because she was jealous of his true power. Immediately apologizing, Thanos admitted that he did not intend to judge Lady Chaos so harshly but asked what was left for him to do to prove his worthiness of her love now that he had achieved his life's goal. Receiving only stone-cold silence from Lady Chaos, Thanos angrily shook the orb containing the pre-Big Bang universe and left the room, exclaiming that he did not need anyone, not even Lady Chaos, now that he had his own universe. Later, after venting his anger on plant replicas of his brother and father, Thanos confronted the Silver Surfer, whom he asked for appreciation after admitting that he had a mistake in expecting to share his success with Lady Chaos. When Silver Surfer refused to praise Thanos and a fierce fight ensued, Lady Chaos emerged from her stone prison, announcing her freedom. Appearing before Silver Surfer and Thanos, Lady Chaos stunned Thanos, who pleaded with her, only to be called vain and foolish. Growing to gigantic size, Lady Chaos then grabbed Thanos and crushed him within her fist, leaving only purple dust. Lady Chaos then announced that Silver Surfer's battle with Thanos had weakened Thanos enough for her to free herself from the stone prison he had placed her in and for Silver Surfer's role in her freedom, she offered the Surfer a place at her side at they created a universe devoted to destruction. Still growing, Lady Chaos was surprised when Silver Surfer refused her offer and hurled the orb containing the universe into Lady Chaos, her own chaotic nature recreating the Big Bang and restarting the universe, returning nearly everything to what it was.

(Silver Surfer unproduced script, "Rebirth" - BTS) - Feeling as if Silver Surfer had turned Lady Chaos against him and stole his earlier victory, Thanos ambushed the Silver Surfer.

Comments: Created by Larry Brody and AKOM Production Co. (see Appearances list for list of artists).

It was never clear whether the immobile, stone-formed Lady Chaos was actually speaking to Thanos or if his love for her/madness only made him imagine she was speaking to him. We never actually heard her speak (except for in Thanos' imagination when affected by the Dream Weaver) so IF she was truly speaking to him, it would have to be telepathically.

Lady Chaos was only ever shown in an immovable stone form in the actual aired episodes and it was never revealed what her true form, including her true eye and hair color, were. She was seen in an illusory form when Thanos was affected by the Zenn-Lavian Dream Weaver but this form was what Thanos imagined her to look like and he only saw what he wanted to see. In this form, she possessed glowing purple eyes and flaming green "hair" but there was no way of knowing if this was her actual true form or just Thanos' imagination. Unfortunately for viewers, Lady Chaos' true form was to be shown in the first episode of Season 2, which ended up never being produced due to the show's cancellation.

While the Silver Surfer cartoon was canceled after Season 1, eight scripts for what was intended to be Season 2 were written and never produced. For the sake of completeness, I've included Lady Chaos' appearances in those scripts in this profile...

While the unproduced Silver Surfer scripts refer to Lady Chaos as the "goddess of destruction," her status as a cosmic being suggests she is the cosmic embodiment of destruction, in a similar way that Eternity is the cosmic embodiment of the universe.

Based upon the description in Larry Brody's series bible Lady Chaos might also be considered a counterpart to 616's Lord Chaos.
